Groundbreaking mod that totally reinvents Fallout: New Vegas from the bottom up. Whether you've never played FO:NV before or just got done with a fully modded playthrough 5 minutes ago, this one, singular mod will totally and utterly redefine not just your experience playing this game, but your very life itself, as well, with one simple download. 11/10.
"art style"? lol Vanilla New Vegas looked like s*** even at the time of release, having bad models, textures, and lighting is not an art style when the developers would've chosen to upgrade them if they had the resources and budget. Like, seriously, this game barely has any actual shadows even *with ENB*, that's honestly just 'part of the art style'?
it took Bethesda until fo76 to fix the lighting engine, so thats not really on Obsidian.
also the game quite clearly does have a "style", its 1950's Americana mixed with early 1900's interpretation of what the future would look like. your referring to graphical fidelity, wich considering the game was built upon a 2005 engine, itself built upon a much older 1990's dev kit, i think the game looks pretty decent.
the selling point of Bethesda's games/engines for me has always been how robust they are in terms of modability, on that front Bethesda has always been in the top 10.
Fallout New Vegas, as it's predecessor (1 & 2) doesn't revolve around 1950s Americana. The 50s was one of many themes present in the original fallout series. The 60s, 70,s 80s, and even the 90s has had much of an influence, unfortunately Bethesda isn't fond or aware of this. This has been noted in an interview with Eurogamer, as Leonard Boyarsky, both an art director and game designer, along with Tim Cain and Feargus Urquhar has said, the direction Bethesda has taken the franchise is not what they had in mind.
In the same AAA-league as Fork Redone. Both must haves! The plunger though is way more ... iconic. Glad the authors offer 4k, hehe. I have the theory that there is an undiscovered vault full of plungers in the vicinity of the one full of Garys.
