Likely because I'm new at this and haven't figured out a better or more correct way to do it. I've made it using texture sets in the Geck, but I'm not too sure how I could get the items to use the custom textures without setting it all up in Geck and saving an esp. Should it be done differently?
Edit: somehow I didn't figure I could've just named the textures the same as vanilla game and overwritten... Really a roundabout way of doing it the way I did, but works still; I suppose if the textures were simply overwritten, then if you wanted to get rid of the mod at some point, it seems like it'd be harder to get your original files back? Maybe not, I could be entirely wrong and it could be very easy, still learning about everything.
Ah, that's great actually! For any replacer I'll make in the future, I'm going to try and do it this way. Thank you for the advice; definitely always feel free to say anything I should do differently or what might be a more efficient way to do it.

MedX is tiny, so a hirez version would help making it more noticeable.
