Came to ask the exact same question (even though there is a patch - the required mod isn't in the Required mods section.) Thank you WastelandSentinel for asking and thank you cjayr369 for answering. Appreciate you both.
Went to your most recently updated mod to post this since I'm not sure of a better way to ask, but do you have a comprehensive "Sweet's Guide to New Vegas" style modlist? Essentially, a guide on how to play New Vegas using all of your mods and any other mods you recommend, step by step? If not, would you ever make one?
After taking the loot, can I turn off the mod bases of damage to the record? As a test, I created several different characters (with a quick start) and each time a surprise ;) I like it.
So, bit of a question. You mention in the description that you get light armor from 5 End and lower, medium up to 8, and Heavy past that. While trying to figure out why I kept getting a sawn off shotgun when I had Big Guns tagged- which was because I had 5 perception and I was dumb- I noticed that in the default settings, both the light and medium armor barriers had Light armors and the heavy armor barrier had medium armor, where as with the STARS patch the medium and heavy armor are both medium armors.
I was just wondering why that is. Is it an oversight, for the sake of balance, or do I just misunderstand what you mean when talking about the armors?
Umm is finding a dead Brotherhood Outcast near where the merchants and brahmin corpse is from this mod or is it just random encounter? I'm not really sure because I've seen other Brotherhood Outcasts was fighting off something but I don't know what because I didn't see it clearly as it was at night and the battle was already finished with the outcast victory.
And if it caused by this mod don't you think it's a bit OP to get Power Armor early in the game? I maxed my endurance to 10 because I want to play a tank build and I assume the power armor loot is the result of me maxing my endurance to max as from your description of the mod 8+ endurance would get heavy armor.
Is it WAD if I found about 500 total drained power cells and 28(!) fission batteries? I have Energy Weapons, Science, and Repair tagged, but that still seems crazy.
It works fine for me, but at the start, I literally cannot carry all this crap especially if I got Vault loot on me... is there any basic home mod or chest mod that lets you safely dump all the starting gear BEFORE doing the quests? Like something close to Vault exit. There's a Springvale shelter, right, anything smaller just for dumping starting loot to later move it to proper home?
Edit: I searched for "Springvale" and found a home literally first turn after exiting the vault, plus a warehouse down the manhole, AND a garage. All three seem to be compatible and are great to dump off the load with ANY Vault or starting gear mods. I'd rather have more items I don't use than lose a possibility to get some weapon or armor type early.
