Gasoline expires so it doesn't make sense that it is still in all of these cars. In Fallout 2 the Highwayman used energy cells as fuel. Can you make a mod where the car uses energy cell?
Open xEdit and change the text from 'Gas' or 'Gasoline' to Energy Cells, pee, poo, what ever lol. As for the model, you hardly see it, but if you really needed to, I guess you could swap the .nif file to use the energy cell model, but that'll probably cause more problems. Or, you could just, you know...
"lore explanation for highwayman conversion to gas" That's just a bandaid fix. It's only a matter of changing the model to an energy cell, rename it, and make it spawn on other places instead of gas stations, any moderately experienced modder can do that.
What? "Do it yourself" ? I won't waste days (if not more) learning how to mod when you can get a modder to do it in much less time (probably done in a single day). Someone else should do this.
you should change this mod to use microfusion cells and energy cells instead of gasoline as thats what the Highwayman used for fuel in Fallout 2. Very unimmersive but besides that this mod is great.
Which stat did you modify to make it slower? I don't think its working since i can go 0-100 in like a second. Which stat do you modify in fnvedit to change it? edit; got the patch working but this thing guzzles too much gas. Is there a way to tweak it?
this mod breaks the camera when i install it. i have titans of the new west installed and it works without patches. what am i messing up because i want the gasoline mechanic
Do you think you could add a file that doesn't require gas, it is a bit inconvenient for me, and it doesn't line up with the lore, maybe have it use MF cells like in fallout 2? I loved having the highwayman in fallout 2, and loved the micro fusion cell idea, thanks!

Edit: Use the vanilla frontier version, it worked for me.
