This was exactly what I was looking for! There's other recipes mods out there, but they require more ingredients that I would like. Such as requiring Dirty Water to make Steamed Radroach, when I can just grill Radroach meat by itself and get Grilled Radroach! Thank you!
Who would use item with Starvation bigger than 200? Dont let Caravan Lunch fool you, it is nearly useless because the high starvation benefit make people hesitate to use it (want to save for rainy days) and thus never use it.
Same deal with squirrel dishes by the way.
The correct balance would be iguana dishes and gecko kebab. You want it so-so filling, so that people will snack before meal time, and gorge during meals.
I dunno, I've used caravan lunches plenty of times. It doesn't take long for the starvation meter to fill up, and as long as you're not close to your encumbrance limit the -1 STR isn't that big of a deal to put up with for a couple of minutes. Hell, if I sleep for 8 hours it goes to over 200 by the time I wake up, so... yeah.
Then again, I am using a mod to increase the hunger and thirst rates in the game, because I find vanilla is way too forgiving. So if you're not, your mileage may vary.
We can always find plenty of iguana dishes and even squirrel dishes. Will we use Caravan lunch? Yes. Will we use Caravan lunch even if we still have iguana and squirrel in store? No. and the latter situation is more common than you would thought.
I speak, of course, as a user of Control Hardcore mode, with setting ensure that each day you eat at least 3 pounds of food, and sleep 6 hour a day.
