Good mod. Fits with the vanilla game. Molerat can hold his own in combat, but is hardly Doc Holiday so you wont feel OP at early levels. He makes up for his average combat skills with utility, hes basicly a portable campfire and bed.
Assuming you already had the conversation where he gives you the Star Signal (I think it comes up the second time you greet him), you should be able to call him from anywhere. First check the Apparel tab of your inventory for it and let me know if that doesn't work.
Yeahhhhh in the description of NVB3 it says not to bring any companions and Virgil himself also says not to bring any companions If you brought Molerat to Frosthill then he's most likely dead
Can someone help me out? I have Character Kit Remake installed, along with the hands hair and teeth, but for whatever reason Molerat looks like he has dual face textures, and for the life of me, I can't figure out why.
Absolutely great, for years I've wanted a companion like this. Molerat, Delilah and Russell are essential now for me in every playthrough. He's so much more likeable than legacy sidekick mods like Niner and is cheery despite having a somewhat tragic and dark backstory that fits with the game as if he was an official DLC character.
Been using molerat in multiple playthroughs over a year and some change, I love him and thank you for the work, will you be finishing him up or is this the final version?
I've used a bunch of companion mods over the years or playing FNV, and this one is easily in my personal top 5. Molerat gives off so much little brother energy, and his quips are a blast. Right now I'm rolling around the Mojave with him and Hope Lies, those two together are a wholesome overdose. Thanks for putting in the time to make this for us.
Hi there - I was just wondering about this mod and whether there was an ETA for the final update / TTW patch. I'm just curious because I am thinking of starting up a new TTW playthrough sometime in the next few weeks, and I am wondering if I should wait for this mod to be updated or not (I don't want to play for 20 hours and then find out I'm missing out on some stuff!). Of course no worries at all if that's not something you are able to provide, but just figured I would check. Thanks.
Hey. Sorry for the late response. In short: don't wait to start your playthrough.
As far as an ETA, the honest answer at this point is that I don't know when it'll be out. The scripts and voiceovers have been 100% complete for a few months now, but the GECK side is a bit of a mess at the moment. 2023 was a gut punch that took the wind out of me.
In the nearest term, I might decide to post a discord link where I'll upload some WIP and "behind-the-scenes" type stuff because my eagerness to share what we worked on last year is outpacing my ability to complete the update, at the moment.

...Do you have a save file before going to Brookshire's office, by any chance?
