Haven't tried out the mod yet, but I feel like the Gauss Minigun should utilize the 'Guns' (or Big Guns, whatever) skill instead of Energy, since it's using 2mm cartridges as its ammo instead of MF cells. M72 (OG gauss rifle) and PPK12 (pistol) utilized 'Guns', so I feel like it'd b appropriate for its big-variant to do so as well.
Luckily, it takes 7 seconds to do these small changes myself with a magical xEdit, so I did, but while I was doing so, I noticed a CRAZY 200 clip capacity, so I changed it to its original 80 limit as shown in the wiki. I also lowered the fire rate a bit, cuz its basically an automatic M72 (which already sounds f***ing scary), so I lowered it a bit just to compensate for it being such a chad weapon, and I think it's a reasonable change, as I remember the M72 being a somewhat slow, hard-hitting weapon in Fo2 (again, I haven't found the piece yet, so I'll c how that edit goes for me). *EDIT. I was wrong bout the fire rate, it's actually supposed to b FASTER than the default minigun, which is... just WOW. Looks like ima b bumping up the fire rate a bit in my game!*
All in all, thx for this small QOL mod. Having the weapon use the new intended effect of 2mm's DT Penetration makes this already beastly weapon so damn nice to have. and here's hoping that the author of CFWR does this weapon some justice and add it to his already beautiful collection of Classic Weapons (retextured, re-modeled, all of that), tho I'm not sure if it'd b Lore friendly for it to b appearing in New Vegas. And I feel like ur mods deserve a bit more recognition cuz of how professionally displayed and convenient some of them are, keep it up.
