I thought it would be cool if the player could enable and disable Wild-Wasteland at will using an in-game and cohesive manner. In short, the unique glasses added by this mod enables Wild Wasteland while equipped and disables it when unequipped, simple fun and wacky. It's important to note that the Alien / Mercenary camp encounter can only be triggered once per playthrough - as such go into the encounter with that in mind and choose to either wear or not wear the glasses accordingly.


In classic FNV fashion, they can be found in Doc Mitchell's house, in his bedroom.



Simply, install via mod manager or manually by dragging and dropping the .esp file into the data folder. Uninstall via mod manager or by deleting the .esp file and meshes/textures from the data folder. It's generally not worth taking Wild-Wasteland as a trait whilst using this mod as this mod dynamically adds and removes said trait.

I generally don't recommend uninstalling this mod mid-playthrough.

However, If you do it's important to note that you will either have or not have Wild-Wasteland depending on if the glasses were equipped or not during uninstall.

You can use the following commands to add or remove the trait manually after uninstallation if this doesn't match your preference:

  • player.addperk WildWasteland
  • player.removeperk WildWasteland
