Not too hopeful for a response as this game is 14 years old, but here goes. I really love the animations for the .357 in this mod, but I was wondering if there was a way to apply them to the Ranger sequoia? Specifically, I found this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64028?tab=description and was hoping it would somehow do the trick. Would this work? If not is there some other way? Somewhat obviously, I am very new to modding and not very tech savvy. I’d also like to use mods that give hip firing a fanning animation, and possibly a retexture, but they’re a lower priority. Would this all work together? Might be a stupid question.
I also feel the need to quickly add that this mod, and all of Hit’s mods are ridiculously good. I really fell in love with this one specifically, as it reminded me of Johnny Ringo’s gun tricks from Tombstone, one of my favorite movies.
when i downloaded the mod the special equip animation animation lucky has played once and then never again unless i loaded a save and re equipped it and then it would play once and break again update: did a quick and messy edit to replace all the equip animations with the ones for lucky its messy but it worked
To anyone struggling with Ironsights: Look into the files an delete both 1hpAimIS and 1hpAttack5IS.
Animation-wise, there's no sacrifice, there won't be any jank where the animations needs to jump to a different position. What you will notice however is that, while this mods anim's are an absolute joy to witness, they actually nerf the weapon's fire rate rather harshly, and removing those two files obviously undoes that (AKA, you'll fire faster when aiming down sight).
Whether you think that's a good/bad/jank thing is up to you, but that is one thing you can do.
