Description

I always found the default V.A.T.S. to be much to slow for my liking. So much so that I never use it in the vanilla game because it just takes too long and has me waiting until I can control my character again. Combat has a pacing to it and V.A.T.S. being slow makes it feel sluggish. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a perfect example of how combat should be paced, never taking you out the action.


This mod reduces kill camera duration, duration of V.A.T.S. camera shots, makes V.A.T.S. zoom in faster, switches V.A.T.S. targets faster, and reduces the playback delay after activating V.A.T.S. All other V.A.T.S. mods on the Nexus are slower than this one, and do not combine all 5 of these features into one mod.

Activating the 5 tweaks below will make it so you will only enter V.A.T.S. if you have enough AP to begin with. You will be able to spam the V.A.T.S. key without worrying if you have enough AP for an attack.

-Reverted the flying and landing grenade camera to vanilla values in order to restore the vanilla slow mo/maim effect on enemies. This way they won't be able to run away from grenades you throw at them in V.A.T.S., just like the vanilla game.
-After the grenade explodes, the camera delay is reduced (compared to vanilla).

Added 1st person only version, recommend only for melee V.A.T.S. users. Makes melee V.A.T.S. much faster compared to original mod.
