Could you do a leather armor version??? I feel like Leather armor is the most base generic thing in all of fallout and there's enough of it in game to have enough to play around with in terms of assets like lightweight, reinforced, gecko, etc.
Would love to have my courier with just leather pants and boots. Redneck style wastelander! :) With optional pauldrons, jackets, gloves, etc, etc, etc.
Yeah in the geck you could change the biped slots of one of the armor pieces as if they do not work together its because they are taking up the same slot.
Is it just me that doesn't have the female armour version fitting properly? I have the vanilla body, no mods. Or was this just meshed for male characters?
Would it be possible to make the Kings Jacket + NCR armor you buy from Katie faction armor? Currently playing a legion playthrough and would be awesome to use this as my disguise armor.
Damn, so this is like FO4 layered armor system right? But why not make a complete overhaul part of every piece of armor in the game rather releasing it as individual parts mod? Also there is a mod called FNV Armor Addon/ Armor System Overhaul by FelipeGomes, you might want to take a look at it.
Because these are just small mods I make for people, not a large project. like most of my mods. also a user called YanL is already working on a modular armour mod! yeah it kind of is like the fallout 4 system and that overhaul by felipegames.
I'm a little curious, are the armor parts non-faction?
And I have an idea on how to implement these as things you can find in the wastes or on corpses. The idea being that Fiends and some occasional raiders would wear them, since both of them pretty much use what they can find or take. I could imagine them scavenging armor pieces from the corpses of their enemies and bolstering their own armor with it. Perhaps the stronger Fiends and raiders wear them as a sign of strength or something.
yeah they should be, I used the NCR helmet as a base, and that doesnt have a faction. that would require some injected leveled list intergration which I can do. but it come with a few issues which I have yet to figure out how to solve. if you check out my centurion modular armour mod that has a optional main file with attempts to distribute the armour amongst legion troops. so I could defiantly do it.
I was actually curios, have you not had any legion troops wearing only modular armour, and having no clothing on underneath?. that is one of the problems that can occur. and thanks !
Thanks for the info on the faction status of the armor, and the feedback on the suggestions! Haven't been feeling like playing New Vegas lately, but I'm gonna download both of those mods now for when I do feel like getting into it.
Have a few more ideas that could be done too! Since you never really receive NCR armor officially from anyone in the NCR, it would be cool to scavenge the armor pieces from dead Legion soldiers (I imagine they'd have them as trophies) and bring them to an NCR officer or something and they'd make a complete set of faction NCR armor for you. Opposite could work for a Legion playthrough, possibly by defeating weaker Legion soldiers in the arena and getting a random armor part randomly.
I can see the pouches and the neck/facewrap going very well with whatever kind of ranger armor Ill be using in my next NCR aligned playthrough! Thank you for all the animation mods aswell! They add SO much immersion to the game!
