Version 2.0 is live! Give it a shot and tell me what you all think! Includes improved particle effects, disabled gore/dismemberment for all energy weapons, and now skeletons freeze in place before falling to the ground! Big thanks to nexus user Asterra for showing me the script tricks to make that last one happen!
Don't worry about the gore disabling messing with other mods- it's entirely script-based without "manually" editing the weapons themselves, so it should work fine with any mods that effect energy weapons (I personally found it works fine with EVE and Project Nevada).
There's only two snags I'm still trying to buff out:
1: I can't seem to make enemies keep holding whatever weapons they were using before being skeletonized. Upon skeletonization, they unequip and store their weapons in their inventory, and I can't figure out why. Its not a big deal, but it just doesn't look right.
2: The Bloody Mess perk seems to bypass the gore disabling script, and anyone hit by a laser weapon transforms into a floating blob of guts and bones, which frankly doesn't look right. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to disable the Bloody Mess perk's gore effects on energy weapons without messing with the perk itself, to keep mod conflicts as low as possible.
As always, any insight or suggestions from all y'all are totally welcome! Thanks again for all your support.
EDIT: Fixed an accidental file dependency issue. That was a leftover from some tests I was doing for different effects.
Playing TTW testing things out. Reggie or whoever, the girl that gets killed by the buses blowing up when the Behemoth comes, was funny to watch her disintegrate into a charred skeleton when the buses blew up. Dunno if that was intentional or not. but fun nonetheless.
THIS MOD IS WONDERFUL, but in noticed when its score critical kills the skeleton turn into ashpile or plasma goo, any suggestion to work this around, i really enjoy turning enemy into a skeleton.
I love this mod! It's awesome and makes me actually want to use energy weapons. Not to mention, I find this more realistic anyways. Why would an entire human just turn into goo, wouldn't it at least make sense if hardest part of our bodies didn't liquify? Seriously, it's not often you find a mod you never knew you needed and just love. I just have 4 main questions regarding this mod. 1. Is it compatible with the weapons from Classic Fallout Weapons Remastered? I love CFWR and it would make me super happy if I could skeletonize someone with my wattz laser rifle and pistol. 2. On critical hits, the enemies still just turn in to goo. Usually, they skeletonize at first and then just turn in to goo. I guess it does kind of make sense in the game that a crit would be powerful enough to turn the skeleton in to goo, too, but I still would like if there was a way to make them always skeletonize. Maybe an option in the MCM? 3. Any way to make the skeletons glow? I like how it kinda looks like they glow when they reflect my pip-boy's lights, but I notice that they actually aren't glowing when I turn it off. I think it would be cool to make the laser and plasma ones glow, but not the charred ones. And for the shock skeleton, I guess it would depend. My thinking is that those last 2 wouldn't always make sense to glow. 4. I keep getting an update that says something like "skeletonizer activated." Is there a way to turn this off? I don't really mind it, it's more of a quality of life thing.
Awesome mod, makes using energy weapons way more fun! I use this with the mod that disables the usual crit effect for energy weapons so I can enjoy plenty of skeletons. If I had a couple suggestions, I'd say building that into the mod would be a good idea (it's, if anything, disappointing when I get a crit because no skeleton). I'd also, if possible, set it up so that animals/non humans who the effect applies to always disintegrate, just to keep it more in line with the humanoid effect.

Freezing, heavy lag, stuttering every other second, than it crashes
Anyone got any idea on what could be causing that?
thankyou
