So, if I'm getting this correct, it's redundant to have this and your Changes mod installed at the same time? If that's the case, I think it would be nice to have a note on this page. I didn't know.
Hey, I think making the unused mod for the Trail Carbine a fire rate increase is cool. I recommend keeping a version up to date that has all of the mods authentic just for anal people(Like me :0 ) I like the Forged Receiver more because I use JSawyer. I think JSawyer makes weapons degrade faster, so Forged Receivers are really good with it on.
Combined with a burst fire addon and this the service rifle might be the best 25 guns skill weapon in the game, I might need to raise the reqs a little bit on my next playthrough in xedit. Really cool mod though, fun to use.
Have you ever looked into adding back the bayonet to the Service Rifle? I think it would be cool to have on the gun regardless if you have weapon mods on or not. There are some mods that do it, but they are outdated and don't have Weapon Mesh Improvement patches.
Also another random thing. I noticed by accident when overwriting this mod with Weapon Mesh Improvement that the reflex sight turned into a red dot sight. Did you ever try meshing around with that? Personally I like how you did it, with the scope giving you an early game Marksmen Rifle, but it would be cool to try out with the red dot sight Roy made. I kinda wonder why he even edited it.
EDIT: The latest version doesn't seem to work for me? I had 2.5 and it worked just fine. Now with 3.5 the Service Rifle reflex sight isn't in my mod menu and it was removed from my gun.
I don't think the bayonet will serve any purpose whatsoever since there are no appopriate effects for it, melee animations, stuff like that... Also, you should set this mod under WMIM. WMIM's got tons of dirty and unessecary edits by looking in FNVEdit, which is the reason why I don't use that mod.
Yeah, load order ended up being the issue. Do you not recommend using WMIM? I know the mod is incomplete, but doesn't it fix the first person sights being off? Or are they really not off enough to matter?
Don't get me wrong. The mod seems great, but looking in FNVEdit, it's pretty screwed up. There's plenty of arbitary changes carried over from TTW, such as modifying the recipes for junk rounds and the rounds themselves so you wouldn't recieve any casings from them. I also saw a lot of dirty edits on the weapons aswell. On top of that, there's stuff like this...
The author is pretty active about this mod, but it's been a few years and it hasn't been updated since 2018, which means it doesn't keep up with the latest version of YUP. Just to be safe, I'm keeping my hands off WMIM until it's been finally updated and all that mess is cleaned up.
