A fixed and crash-free version of Kyu's Ballistics. New muzzle flashes, tracers, bullet impacts, everything relating to visual effects ballistic weapons use is updated. TTW supported.
how do i do this? love the mod, but yeah, hate the ctd, even if only occasional EDit: I dun figure it out misself. Thanks for pointing out the problem.
I'm gonna guess they had an issue and instead of saying "edit: i fixed my issue" they just said Fixed making it sound like the mod was fixed. Lazyness is beyond me.
on a new save, this mod started causing me crashes and persistent lag after getting into gunfights. stripping the light property (not muzzle flash - light) from the projectile records seems to fix this without a notable difference in visuals. i assume there's an incompatibility somewhere in my current setup, because this didn't happen to me on my old one
Disabling the lights with FNVedit seems to have fixed the lag and eventual crash. I really like having the lights but I'd rather have a stable game.
Edit: Seems like I found a fix via FNVEdit while keeping lights, haven't had a crash. Just copy over Impact and Projectile from the mods its trying to replace.
Example: Instead of Tracer for the 5.56 Projectile, Just copy 5_56projectile over to tracer.
It won't look as pretty but at least the light around the bullet will make it look fancy. Fun using a mingun and the whole room lights up.
This mod is awesome, I can't believe it hasn't received more attention from the community. Pairs really well with Bullet Trails by Kicho for some over the top shootouts
I can tell you why. There's only a handful of static images to see what this mod can do. I was interested but the images didn't do anything for me. A mod like this needs videos to show how it really works. I think that's the main problem.

Two problems, though: eventual CTD, and about 1.5x as much muzzle smoke as there should be.
