DESCRIPTION
In my headcanon, the 12.7mm round is equivalent to .50 Beowulf, so one of my personal mods to the game changes the 12.7mm SMG to use 5mm and the 12.7mm Pistol to use .44 Magnum. This means that the 12.7mm cartridge became very underutilized in my game, so I decided to fix that. This weapon is designed to be something akin to a generic version of the Survivalist's Rifle from Honest Hearts - a large-caliber semi-automatic rifle intended to deliver immense stopping power at short to medium range. The perfect choice for guards manning vehicle checkpoints, hence the name

I started with the base game Marksman Carbine mesh and added the buttstock from the Service Rifle, the handguard from the Assault Carbine, the barrel from the Anti-Materiel Rifle, and the muzzle brake from the Gun Runners' Arsenal custom Anti-Materiel Rifle.

Gameplay-wise, this weapon is semi-automatic and does bonus limb damage with a doubled critical chance. It can be modded with the 9mm Pistol Scope and the Assault Carbine Extended Mags. I've also added the weapon to all the appropriate form lists, so that all perks and challenges that affect semi-auto rifles will work as expected.

LOCATION
The weapon can be purchased from the Gun Runners and other vendors across the Wasteland, or found in random loot drops. Of course, if you're feeling lazy, you can always use the following console command (Substitute ## with the Mod Index of the plugin in your load order):

player.AddItem ##000ADE 1;Gives 1 Checkpoint Rifle

Show
The Mod Index is a two-character hexadecimal code, with a value between 00 and FF, that can be found using a mod manager. It should be listed somewhere beside the name of the plugin. After finding the Mod Index, open the console in game using the tilde (~) key, and type Player.AddItem <FormID> 1

INSTALLATION
Extract all the files in the archive to your New Vegas data folder (which is the same folder where FalloutNV.esm is located) and then enable the ESP either in your mod manager of choice, or under "Data Files" in the launcher that runs when you start up New Vegas.
