communism: putting resources in common, workers own their work, people based economy instead of market based, can be authoritarian or libertarian
fascism: nationalism, totalitarianism, police state, emphasis on tradition above all (or at least an idealised version of traditions) which implies xenophobia, sexism and homophobia, and state run profit oriented economy
the only thing they have in common is that they can be totalitarian in nature, however only one of the two bears that as a main ideological characteristic

just wanted to point out something i find a bit amusing. the description mentions that people requested it for "historical reasons" since the Garand was used in WW2 to kill fascists. the thing is, the Garand was also used to kill commies in Korea (about 500,000 worth) and to a lesser degree Vietnam (where it was used to some extent by south vietnamese forces e.g. CIDG), so the Garand having that writing (anti-commie one) on it does make sense.
it's not historical for that reason. it's because the gun's name is a pop culture reference to a musician (woody guthrie) who used to write the "...fascists" version on his guitar during ww2.
