I've tried the various weather mods, and they all break something.
1. Nevada Skies looks awesome outdoors, and that's day and night, but... their interior lighting overhaul causes sunlight to come in through house windows -- after dark. Nope.
2. Project Reality (and most of the rest of the weather mods) turn the sun from a star into little kid's elementary-school yellow circle drawing of the sun.
3. Budget Weather / Lighting doesn't mess with interiors and looks good... until it gets almost pitch black overcast, in the middle of the day, in about 5 seconds.
4. Altitude / Western Skies / etc... waaay too bright at night, and their 'Darker Nights' patches don't seem to actually, y'know... make nights darker.
So...
Vanilla weather it is. But I still wanted a little something to enhance the lighting.
This was it. Glad I picked it, too. Best at what it does.
If you really want vanilla weather plus some, then what about the most vanilla weather there is? Restored Weathers and IMODs This is cut content weather that was intended to be in the game originally. Found it in a TriangleCity cut content video.
For future reference you might wanna check Viva New Vegas for some of these mods. They might recommend fixes like Nevada Skies Tweaks for fixing interior lighting.
