Don't know if you understand how Campaign hats work, but you're not supposed to push your skull in to them. The "pit" helps keep your head cool. (Incidentally, this hat in-game is most often worn by rangers wearing the "Patrol" armor, which is equipped with a water backpack.)
Worth mentioning they're typically worn at forward tilt with a strap on the back of the head for additional support.
What could be said is that the Ranger Campaign Hat is a little oversized from an aesthetic perspective. They probably used people like the above as a reference as opposed to someone like this
This is really an improvement for the Patrol Rangers hat; but could you please also add an option that only includes the Ranger Gray Hat for Patrol Rangers?
Also, while I really hate to ask at this point as you've already been generous with my request; I just had one final last minute idea for an option for this mod, though it might really match with this mod considering this idea is related to Patrol Rangers. Now, don't get me wrong, I thank you for adding the Ranger Gray Hat option, I really do. If I may, however, what would be really cool also (plus, an original idea as I can't find a mod so far doing such), and even match with this for the Patrol Ranger, is if you could add one final additional option that sets all Rangers (like civilian rangers, elite rangers, and the patrol Ranger) to carry both only the Authority Glasses and the Ranger Gray Hat together. While NCR ranger masks are pretty awesome, a change starting with something like the potential of this mod would be quite an interesting change. Plus, Stetson hats and shades just rock together, no more blinding Mojave sun for sure! :)
