I don't know If you've noticed, but there are no fire departments in The Divide. The reason why there are firetrucks in the Divide is because they were on their way to block the tunnel entrance because there is a Waste Disposal Truck inside of the tunnel. That was the reason why they were on their way to California.
I don't know if you've noticed, but there's not a whole lot of the Divide in the Divide. The reason for a lack of fire department could have something to do with the nigh entire nuclear arsenal of several silos detonating underneath a city.
And also, I recently discovered that there is a crashed Waste Disposal Truck in the Divide tunnel. What I believe is that It was carrying Waste Barrels from Nevada to The Waste Disposal Station. There are a lot of Waste Barrels around the game and many of them were randomly dumped into the desert. They later picked them up and started to transport them to certain places like Crescent Canyon and Devil's Throat. Many of them made their way, many couldn't. You can see a truck full of Waste Barrels in Cottonwood Cove.
Some of them however, were sent to The Divide because there was a Waste Disposal Station. Right then, the Earthquakes started to happen again and this time, they brought everything down and caused a major pre-war apocalypse in the Divide. This is the reason why there are Searchlight Firetrucks in the Divide, they were sent to help and secure the place.
By all means change it but in 10yrs it wasn't a listed bug, and may not be a "fix" as Searchlight trucks have two legit reasons to be there: 1) Intended as part of an ad-hoc escort for the nuclear waste being diverted from California to Searchlight's Fire Station in 2077. 2) Or (as I'd originally assumed) just possibly vehicles commandeered by the Legion's taskforce sent to cut off the Divide, providing an otherwise unspoken clue that it was the same taskforce as had sabotaged the nuclear waste housed at the Searchlight Fire Station.
It's all in the little details, thank you! Is the first image supposed to have the text off center though? I'll admit I can't recall even looking at the Searchlight one if it's the same deal or not.
