I felt it was time to get this off of my hard drive and share it with the community. I've worked too hard on it, as have many others to see it fall by the wayside and never be seen for the rest of eternity. If you think you are a decent human being then please credit me as the author of any of the meshes you may want to use in other projects, and please go ahead, too. As stated, this content is provided as-is, unfinished dungeon locations and broken script implementation included. I won't be addressing any bugs or other issues, but maybe see those things as opportunities! Cheers.
Edit: I have not had mental health issues as some might have interpreted from me being sarcastic in the description :)
Here's a little manual mod pack to experience it fully: 1 install the main file, the seagull file and the raidercanoes file (this last one didn't do the trick for me because I get exclamation marks where the canoes are but it's the single - and insignificant - technical issue so I didn't feel like troubleshooting) 2 install Speedy Resources 3 install Alcatraz Island 4 install San Fran Changes It's a total of 4 plugins but after exploring you can simply uninstall it all. 5 additionally, at the end of exploring it all on foot, I checked it out from the air so think about a flyable vertibird (e.g. Vertibird Player Home), it's nice to see how the world was built (if you're not touchy about total immersion)
So (1) is the main mod, (2) is resources for (3), (3) is an additional location and (4) enables entering the mod without console (go to Mojave Outpost and at its west side pick the new gate that's on the left), also adds two little blue boats to San Fran that will get you across the bay and from there to the Alcatraz island.
This is not not just exteriors, there are interiors to explore, some are ok as shelters as well - for those that don't just breeze through but really explore and take shelter at night. Enjoy!
Are there creatures/people to fight or quests to do or is it a blank slate for future modders to change and add to, like the author says in their description? Thank you so much for your writeup, I'm paranoid about using the console ever because it disables achievements on that session but I just never feel comfortable opening it up even if it's just for that session. This is so fucking cool. Saved and tracking, I so hope the author or other modders come to this and make this into something truly amazing.
I'm interested in working on this mod. Do you have any additional resources from when you worked on this? Even from what you have so far, I am impressed with all of the meshes and textures.
I just want to say that I am amazed with how much you have already done! I really did wish that you would have finished the map but I understand where you are coming from when it comes to being burnt out and your mental health (I hope you're doing better) the fact that you put in a freaking shi bunker and a brotherhood bunker along with the roots in Chinatown just blows me away with what the story could have been. Would there be anyway you could tell us what the story was? or as much as you can remember of what the story would have been? if not understandable and big thanks for giving other modders a great start for a project of their own!
idk about the hostility but I do agree with him. excellent mod, but it would probably be best to mark it as no longer supported if you're not doing work on it so that way less people ask for bug fixes.
It was never supported in the first place. This isn't a mod, it's a resource, and he very clearly states it's a resource in several places. There's no need for some 'no longer supported' statement because everyone else knows what this is.
as a modder, its wild to me how many people fail to read descriptions, like.. at all, where certain things are -really clearly spelled out, and then complain and act like its the modders fault for not supporting something they didnt pay for, lol. Like, hey, this labor is free. its -intensive-, it takes several hundred hours, and the game is a decade old. If a person is gonna mod FNV, or these types of games, they really do need to make it a point to learn how to use certain tools (Nifskope, FNVedit, GECK, Loot) before getting some type of way toward mod authors. I get that bugs are frustrating, but if you want help, ya catch more honey with flies then vinegar
Hey, i just warn that some textures is broken in your 'for mod makers resource'. Don't you think that your manner of communication is not entirely successful?
I am sorry for being late but I suddenly caught an interest for San Fran and discovered this post: Who are you, Kuzja80? Can't you read? This is not a kindergarten so act like a mature person. San Fran is a massive load even for a team. If you are some experienced you would read the images as opportunities - something to work on for others which the mod is laid out to be. !::!
Well, it would've been proper to put something in the title, like discontinued, unsupported or abandoned, to save others' time and because not everyone's English is up to reading or understanding long descriptions. As to the "it's a resource" coment - yes but it's not been put in Modders Resources it's in New Lands. Kuzja80 lacks manners but they're not a native-English speaker and they do have a point. And yes, one can always Google Translate descriptions but it's not perfect, is limited in character length, and a chore that could be obviated for many if the author just added one word to their mod title.

Deltaforerunner Buddy, didn't you think that not everyone speaks English as a native language?
If you keep talking like that, you'll get a ban.
