If any one can confirm if the Russian and Polish versions are working properly or not, I'd appreciate it! Если кто-нибудь может подтвердить, работает ли русская версия должным образом, я был бы признателен! Mam teraz eksperymentalną polską czcionkę. Wypróbuj i daj mi znać, czy to działa!
For anyone that uses MO2, click on the little puzzle piece icon at the top (it's the tools icon) and go to .ini editor. From there go to falloutcustom.ini, then copy and paste whichever desired fonts you wish from the description page of this mod.
I love this font mod, but I've found that when you're talking to NPC's the text is a bit lower than it should and, when a line of dialogue is highlighted, the text is overlapping with the bottom of the highlight box. I'm using Vanilla UI+ so I'm not sure if that's got anything to do with it.
Sorry for the link being how it is and not just showing the image but that's the best I could do since "insert image" doesn't take that as a valid link.
Hey dude, I love your mod, really brings back the feel of the classic Fallouts, however I'm currently experiencing an issue with the mod in which all text boxes, such as confirmation pop-ups, dialogue choices, etc. are having the bottom of the lowest option in the box cut off, for example the 'OK' button. Here's a video showcasing it:
try changing these two lines: sFontFile_1= "font in the inventorys" and FontFile_3= "barter categories". might try just changing sFontFile_1.
btw check out the description of Alternative Fonts Pack: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/51066/ it describes what each line does, and gives you a feel for what each line does
when i changed the font by typing fallout.fnt in the font section of the fallout.default.ini, It removes all the text and is invisible. What should I do?
You're supposed to go to the Fallout.ini file in your Documents folder and open with Notepad, then hit CTRL & F, type Fonts and make sure your scroll is toggled to "down", assuming you're starting from the top of your .ini file. It should look like this:
All you gotta do is change that 2nd line and any others you want (Such as the 5th line, to change terminal interface to original Fallout font) to "Fallout.fnt" (assuming you're using the original with accents and not the blocky with accents, I think that one is called FalloutB.fnt or FalloutBlocky.fnt), the end result should read as follows:
[Fonts]sFontFile_1=Textures\Fonts\Glow_Monofonto_Large.fntsFontFile_2=Textures\Fonts\Fallout.fntsFontFile_3=Textures\Fonts\Glow_Monofonto_Medium.fntsFontFile_4=Textures\Fonts\Monofonto_VeryLarge02_Dialogs2.fntsFontFile_5=Textures\Fonts\Fixedsys_Comp_uniform_width.fntsFontFile_6=Textures\Fonts\Glow_Monofonto_VL_dialogs.fntsFontFile_7=Textures\Fonts\Baked-in_Monofonto_Large.fntsFontFile_8=Textures\Fonts\Glow_Futura_Caps_Large.fntsFontFile_9=Textures\Fonts\NVFont_Test.fnt As far as I can tell, here is what the Fonts are for: 1. Player Name on PipBoy Stats Screen 2. PipBoy UI 3. ??? - Unknown 4. PipBoy UI Screen Titles 5. Terminals 6. Loading Screen Tips and Dialogue Options 7. Main Menu Options 8. New Quest/Location Announcement 9. NVFont_Test.fnt - Font test, wouldn't recommend changing
For a long time I couldn't understand why the Russian version did not work for me. It turned out that the whole point is that the file is called not “.tex”, but “.Tex”. At least for me, it only worked when I fixed it.
Upd: my bad, it wasnt the problem. i just messed up with mod organizer
The font brings back a bit of nostalgia. Thank you so much. One small issue that i'm having. All works fine exept for some reason the end dialog option is just invisible . If there's any workaround i will be one happy cowboy)
Hi there, I've been wondering how to fix the text wrapping in the pip-boy for a while until recently where I found a much older comment on this mod explaining that editing values the XML files easily fixes this.
However I've been unable to find anything correlating to the stats menu in the pip-boy to correct a few instances of text wrapping seen here.
Is there any XML file in specific that should have a section for the stats menu that I'm just missing? Some help would be appreciated.
See there's the issue, I don't use VUI+ and I did try to before but it messed up quite a few bits of the pip-boy layout for me and I didn't want to mess with it since.
I had completely forgot about that mod. I originally used it to sort out the same issue a while ago but it didn't work due to my modlist at the time, now it works like a charm with access to the stats menu xml file. Thank you very much daroskey, text wrapping is no more.
I also managed to fix the positioning of the vault boy's face very easily, for anyone who's just that picky. Setting it's x position in the xml file will reposition it, i recommend by this amount.

you can find it in the Menus\Main folder if you're using VUI+
make sure to load it after all other interface mods
