Ah nevermind, after comparing just turning off the esp keeps the avenger unique.

This makes the ammo backpack invisible for some reason

Sorry for the late reply. I believe I set this to hide the backpack so that it wouldn't clip with certain armors, specially PA.

By using this mod, would it override IHWT's CZ57 Avenger or could I use the two in tandem? This mod looks great, but I don't know if I want to use it if I can't the uniques don't get custom textures/models.

IHWT is pretty old, and the textures are pretty bad. Trust me when I tell you, these are far better. That's why I ported them.

Plus I'd like to point out that with an extra point of damage (13 vs 12), 5 more shots per sec (30 vs 25, in a weapon that already has an insanely high fire rate) and 0.10 less spread (0.55 vs 0.65, which doesn't make much difference since this isn't a precision weapon) the Avenger is only marginally better than an upgraded minigun. It does weight somewhat less, but it carries half the ammo, which you kind of need for this weapon. So, I'd argue you're better off using the normal minigun.

Having said that, if you do like IHWT's Avenger, I can tell you this doesn't overwrite it. What it does is edit the weapon so that it uses regular minigun models and textures, rather than it's unique ones. So, since you sound unsure, what you can do is activate one mod, then activate the other and see which one you like the best. And, if you decide you'd rather the avenger keeps its unique look, simply open the file with FNVEdit, and delete the references to it.
