    Hi all,

Just a small update with the release of TTW 3.3 finally being here. I was able to and have therefore removed the versions specific to TTW and Base new vegas(or non TTW) and merged them into a single mod. It's really just streamlining things on my end moreso than anything else. Also since I renamed some things. You shouldn't update on any pre-existing playthrough to avoid issues. You aren't missing out on any features by not updating anyway.

Also as a reminder mod added traits aren't properly removed by OWB's autodocs so if you want that fixed, you may want to try this other mod of mine Fixed Addiction Removal and vanilla respec options(not needed with TTW 3.3 or newer).

A minor detail, if you select Intense Training as a perk on the level when you get a trait, the SPECIAL selection screen is superimposed by the trait screen.

hello, and can i just say this is a great idea for a mod, especially since you can add more perks and traits, but i did want to know if this mod that lets you pick 2 traits every 1 level was compatible if the load order was correct https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/39088/

    Thanks in advance!

Very late but you can just use Stewie's Tweaks instead to do that

This works great with Sweet 6 Shooter Perks mod which add 22 new traits, some of those traits unlock after leveling up.

I see the above account was closed but in case anyone else curious ends up reading this.

      • Will work but Traits on level up will overwrite the amount of traits you can pick. You can use the ini to set it back to 3 if you prefer that. Unfortunately due to how traits are handled by the engine that's the best I can do due to the nature of this mod.
      • It will probably work. I haven't tested it though
      • It will probably cause conflicts. I may look into creating an update to fix this in the future.

I saw you mentioned IStewieAI's tweaks works with this mod but would Limitless Stats Would work as well? It has a MCM menu to pick how many perks you get per level up.

Depends on how it works(I don't use that mod). This is going to be a technical explanation of things. But anyway the way Traits on level up works is that whenever you close the level up menu and note that perk selection is part of the level up menu. It runs a quick check to see whether you are at a level where you should be able to select a trait and if so opens the trait selection menu.

The problem with say 2 perks per level is that once you selected your first perk it closes the level up menu and opens up another one. The problem being that both the option to select the second perk and the way the trait menu gets opened use the same trigger which is where things get wonky. As the game really doesn't like having multiple menus open, not to mention you could potentially get an additional trait on the same level after you selected the second perk.

IStewieAI's tweaks by contrast avoids that issue by not opening up a second level up menu for perk selection.

This is a really cool idea! Helps alot if you get mods that add traits in the middle of a playthrough.

For those who want to get more traits, but can't level up anymore in their safe game (there are overhauls that limit the level cap quite alot), maybe add a purchasable item and add it via script to doc mitchels vendorlist? Just a suggestion, I have no problem with how the system is personally

Sorry I won't be adding such a thing. I already put a disclaimer in the description.
"Note: For the best results you should install this before starting a new playthrough, I can't guarantee it will work all that well if you install it mid-playthrough"
In fact from a pure stability perspective it's best not to add any new mods mid playthrough, unless the mod author specifically says it's safe to do so.

Also you can respec once per playthrough at the autodoc in OWB. If you already did that. Well I won't be adding further means for respecing as I feel that would take away too much from the permanency of decisions made in regards to chosen traits.
