I've re-read this a few times and have trouble really understanding it. From what was explained, a lot of this mod exists in StewieTweaks already - So, what does this do outside of that?
Haven't updated to the newer version yet since I don't know which tweak this refers to with this line, so I don't know if I would have to change anything
Previous version had a feature to remove the power attack delay timer when releasing it while performing the melee blocking animation. That exact same feature is now in lStewie's (bPowerAttackIfBlocking).
It also had a feature to prevent power attacks if AP was in the negatives from a previous one, but now I offer a config file for lStewie's that enables some of its settings for power attack AP costs, such that it only enables that same thing to prevent power attacks if AP is too low, leaving the AP cost of the attack part to be handled by this mod.
So in short, just turn on the bPowerAttackIfBlocking setting in lStewie's if you want that feature, everything else is provided for.
My Power Attacks outside of VATS don’t use AP and aren’t triggering the special attack. Got all updated versions of NVSE, JIP, and JG (as of 11/24/22) but no dice.
UPDATE: OK, so you need kNVSE. It is not listed as a Requirement, but it most definitely is.
To The Venerable miguick, maybe putting kNVSE in the requirements might help out a lot instead of just having it linked in the description?
but overall, I love this mod. If you play private NVMP servers and have VATS disabled, this is a must have game changer.
Forward moving power attacks with melee weapons don't seem to cost any AP for me. Is this intended? It works with unarmed. Is there a way I can fix this? Thanks for the awesome mod!
I had assumed that the delay was to simulate a "wind up", but it does make the quickness of a power attack kind of useless. Hopefully we can eventually tailor melee combat to something more intuitive like Kingdom Come Deliverance, for example, but until then, it's always a pleasure to see more melee tweaks.
