    If you had the issue of Ulysses turning white, like I did, try going into Fallout.ini and Fallout_Default.ini and FalloutPrefs.ini.

    Change:

    bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=0

    to

    bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1

    That fixed it for me, hopefully that works for you :D

    It is so good to see the man blinking. Easy endorsement. Thanks.

      Check the bugs tab for the fix.

      Hey sorry for replying to this a whole year later but I've tried that fix and yet the issue still persists on Ulysses in particular. What else could be causing it? I have no other mods that affect him.

    Not bad. Any mod that changes Ulysses' face into an actual face is always appreciated.
    Would've been nice if Obsidian made Ulysses' face into an actual face instead of just a facemask that goes over the NPC's head.
    I mean, surely they had the power to do that. Dunno why they didn't go to that extent.

      Thanks for the kind words! Yeah it's a bit strange on Obsidian's part, guess they didn't agree with the normal npc looks at the time.

      Not to take away from the author’s work here, but I posted a mod a few years back that turned the Ulysses head mask into an actual race.

      I'm already aware of your mod dragbody, downloaded it and enjoyed it years ago. And I always appreciate the mods you create on the GUNetwork.
      However, that wasn't something to stop me from praising this author for making such a mod. Everyone deserves to be praised for their work regardless of how considerably "popular" or "superior" it is considered over another. I'll continue to use your mod in future playthroughs, but I thought I'd at least congratulate this user on his work.

    In my canon Ulysses did in fact hotglue the mask to his skull and tie his eyelids back because self-discipline.

      Your canon sounds like an intense place, I like it.

    I always assumed the Mask was because Facegen, to put it bluntly, is just not very good at making good looking, distinctive characters,
    especially "Seasoned" types like they were going for with Ulysses. And That goes double for non-european facial features.

    Just compare some of the characters from concept art or the collector's card deck to their in-game appearance, like Colonol Hsu or Pacer.

      True, but with enough tweaking I think you can make any of the npcs look good without extra resources. I'm planning on making this a whole mod series that touches most every named npc in the game more or less. I'm probably going to try and stick with the concept art for most characters but while adding my own twist to each.

      For sure, you can get decent-ish results with enough time investment.

      But really across the board you'll notice Obsidian didn't put (have) much time for fiddling with facegen. Most NPCs, especially generics, are just slight alterations of the default face for their race.
