Unfortunately I'm not familiar with MO2, but the problem might be MO2 trying to install the mod automatically. I never set the mod up for automatic installation; only manual.

i did try a manual install but it didn't work for some odd reason i guess it's because of the way MO2 handles installing mods

edit: so i did get it to work with MO2 all's good now

so new thing (that i somehow didn't notice until now) the mod is looking for the base game version of recharger weapons YB only any chance for a dlc version? or should it work regardless?

That's correct. The yellow beams patch is looking for the base game only, as the MF Hyperbreeder is the only recharger weapon added in the DLC.

You might be able to fix the GRA patch by going into FNVEdit and removing any changes to the MF Hyperbreeder Alpha ammo regen value. I ran into the same problem on another mod.

It's because GECK will change the value to the nearest integer every time you open the weapon form, and the MF Hyperbreeder Alpha's ammo regen value is a decimal (I think it's 0.3 but just check in FNVEdit).

Yea the GECK doesn't seem to appreciate integers for the regenerating ammo on breeder weapons. I saw you had released your own patch for the mod that fixed the issue with the MF Hyperbreeder through scripting, but I'll take a look at using FNVEdit to solve the ammo regeneration issue as well. Thanks for the tip.
