*** This weapon is also available as part of my NIF-Bashed Weapons Mega-Pack ***

This mod requires textures from Gun Runners' Arsenal, but does not require the DLC to use the gun in-game.

DESCRIPTION
Ask any gun owner what their first gun was and I'm willing to bet that most of them will tell you it was a Ruger 10/22, and the rest will say it was some other semi-automatic rifle chambered in .22 LR. The semi-automatic .22 LR rifle has been many a new shooter's introduction to the sport, so I figured why not make that your character's first gun too?

I started with the Battle Rifle mesh from Gun Runners' Arsenal and removed everything but the stock. I then added the receiver and charging handle from the 25mm Grenade APW, the barrel from the Varmint Rifle, the trigger guard from the Hunting Shotgun, the trigger from the .22 SMG, and a shortened 10mm SMG magazine. For the modded versions, I used the barrel from the .22 SMG, the scope from the Trail Carbine and the 10mm SMG extended magazine with an exaggerated curve, to make it look like one of those Butler Creek 25-round 10/22 magazines.

Gameplay-wise, this weapon is identical to the Varmint Rifle, but does less damage. To compensate, the magazine holds double the ammo and it fires faster, being semi-automatic instead of bolt-action. It can be modded with the usual Varmint Rifle mods.

LOCATION
This weapon replaces the Varmint Rifle, so anywhere you would be able to find one of those, you will find this instead. This mod does not affect the unique Ratslayer rifle at all.

INSTALLATION
Extract all the files in the archive to your New Vegas data folder (which is the same folder where FalloutNV.esm is located) and then enable the ESP either in your mod manager of choice, or under "Data Files" in the launcher that runs when you start up New Vegas.
