DESCRIPTION
Here's my vision of the Fallout universe's amalgam between two Soviet Bloc sniper rifles - the Dragunov SVD and the VSS Vintorez. It has the same integrally-suppressed barrel and overall shape of the VSS, but features a curved magazine that sits further forward of the trigger guard, like the SVD.

I started with the base game Sniper Rifle mesh and removed everything but the scope and buttstock. I then added the receiver and magazine from the legacy-content Chinese Assault Rifle, shortening it slightly to work properly with the game's animations. I also added the barrel from the .22 SMG, the rear sight from the Light Machine Gun (reversed, serving here as the front sight) and the handguard from the Service Rifle.

Gameplay-wise, this weapon was cloned from the Sniper Rifle, but has a larger magazine capacity while being slightly less accurate and doing less damage with a lower effective range. It is chambered for .357 Magnum and can be modded with the Varmint Rifle Night Vision Scope and Varmint Rifle Extended Mags. I've also added the weapon to all the appropriate form lists, so that all perks and challenges that affect sniper rifles will work as expected.

LOCATION
The weapon can be purchased from the Gun Runners and other vendors across the Wasteland, or found in random loot drops. Of course, if you're feeling lazy, you can always use the following console command (Substitute ## with the number of the mod in your load order):

player.AddItem ##000ADE 1;Gives 1 Chinese Special Sniper Rifle

INSTALLATION
Extract all the files in the archive to your New Vegas data folder (which is the same folder where FalloutNV.esm is located) and then enable the ESP either in your mod manager of choice, or under "Data Files" in the launcher that runs when you start up New Vegas.
