About this mod

This mod makes the burn effect more potent, making enemies with fire-based weapons tougher to beat AND helping the player do more damage with fire-based weapons.

Changelogs
This mod edits the damage and duration of various "on fire" object effects (and actor effects in the all-DLC file) to make afterburn damage more lethal. This will make the game more difficult when the player has to fight fire-using enemies like fire geckos and Cook-Cook, as being on fire is no longer a minor inconvenience. Burn effects will hurt more overall, but their durations have been reduced to make them fit better with the pace of combat. Conversely, incendiary weapons the player uses will now feel more effective.

Although many fire weapons use the same object effect (and thus produce the same burn damage and duration), the changes are made with balance in mind as well - for example, the Heavy Incinerator will produce a more damaging and longer burn than the Incinerator, the Gehenna will produce a more damaging and longer burn than the Shishkebab, and the Cleansing Flame will produce a more damaging and longer burn than the Flamer, etc.

This mod does not change the "smolder" effect caused by the ARCHIMEDES II orbital laser (Euclid's C-Finder) because it broke the weapon when I tried to change anything within the object effect (it doesn't really need redoing anyway since it already did massive damage). I also did not change the "smolder" effect caused by the Sonic Emitter - Tarantula in Old World Blues because every time I changed the damage and duration values it resulted in enemies instantly exploding when hit by a critical no matter what their health was. That's amusing, but not balanced. It doesn't matter that much because I only wanted to increase the "smolder" damage slightly, but let me know in the comments if you have a solution.

REQUIREMENTS
Only the base game is required. One of the two files requires all DLC (except Honest Hearts).

KNOWN ISSUES
None.  Please report bugs in the comments if you find anything.

CONFLICTS
It may conflict with any mod that changes "burning" object effects in the base game or similar actor effects in the DLCs. It will conflict with any mod that changes the Heavy Incinerator's projectile. I had to modify the Heavy Incinerator's projectile so that the "balancing" part of the mod would still hold up with YUP installed.

Does not work with Physics Based Ballistics by physicsgaming.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Pairs well with another mod of mine, Grenade Overhaul with New Types (Impact - Gas - Stun - Military Dynamite) which will allow the player to craft both Incendiary Grenades and Fire Bombs as well as making the Fire Bomb itself a more viable weapon.

INSTALLATION
Only download ONE of the two files, depending on your preference. Put the contents of the mod folder (the folder with the .esp inside of it) into your Data folder, or use a mod manager. To uninstall, delete the mod's file (the .esp) or uninstall using a mod manager.
