I've always loved monster mods for games. I feel like enemy variety, even if only visual, is extremely important and often neglected by developers. So the modding community picking up the slack was always nice. Though often these mods seemed to contain creatures that...didn't exactly fit within the established world and lore. Such as the T-800s or LMG-wielding geckos from our very own Monster Mod. Luckily though, users usually modified these mods to make them fall within the lore a bit better. Such was the case with Monster Mod - Wasteland Edition. For many years this mod was a staple in my load order.
But...tragedy! Dismay! Despair! For some reason, recently, Monster Mod - Wasteland Edition was axed from the Nexus. I don't know why, but this was quite troubling. So, with all my power I took upon the leviathan task of...pressing the delete key several times and renaming a few entries in the GECK! I know, the skill required is unfathomable. But I have done it. And hopefully it will prove useful to others.
In each .rar, there is a list of included changes. This goes over creatures removed, creatures renamed and creatures left unchanged.
WARNING: Some of the creatures in this mod are really hard. This is due to the fact the spawn stuff is all fucked up and do not scale with player level. It is a bit hard, but in my opinion still playable if you play it smart. In the future I may make a version with spawns that scale with player level.
Installation
1.) Install the main file of Monster Mod by dogtown1
2.) Install the main file of Monster Mod - Additions by GendunDrup
3.) Install the DLC Patch if you want the monsters to show up in the DLCs
4.) Pick Between Monster Mod - Lore Edition (No Companion) OR Monster Mod - Lore Edition (Companion), this determines whether the companion from Monster Mod - Additions is present in the game or not
5.) Let "momodlorefriendly.esp" from either version overwrite
6.) Let "MonsterModLorefriendlyDLC.esp" overwrite
7.) Play!
Note: If you install this mid-playthrough, wait a few in-game days in an interior for the new creatures to spawn.
Compatibility
Should be compatible with anything that doesn't modify creature leveled lists. If you do have other creature mods, just create a bashed patch. If you have an issues, tell me and I'll check.
