New Vegas has tons of cliffs and obstacles, and I was getting tired of always going around them so I made this for myself awhile ago. I can't find another climbing mod, so I just figured I'd upload it. I decided not to force first person, but keep in mind there's no 3rd person animations. It's not 100% perfect but functionally has always met expectations.

Hold the Grab key to climb up rocks, cliffs, buildings, etc. Try to look directly at what you want to climb, as the mod uses what the crosshair is looking at to determine when to climb.

To rapel, use the rope object in the aid category next to a ledge and walk backwards off of it while holding Z. A message prompt will show up in the upper left corner with control details.

You will find ropes in the world that can be used to rappel. They are under the "aid" category, so use them when near a ledge. The ropes have a small chance of breaking, that is affected by the luck attribute. A message will appear and you will hear the rope creaking just before snapping. After rappelling, there is a chance the rope will be reusable. If it is, you can choose to leave it to climb back up later, or you can take it with you to reuse later.

Climbing/rappeling will drain AP, so if you overextend you will fall.

While climbing or rappeling, you can only use one handed weapons, and you will be unable to climb higher until you reholster your weapon. If you unholster a 2 handed weapon you will immediately fall.

Since followers can't climb, if you press left alt immediately after climbing, all followers in the area will teleport to you. Just pretend they climbed up behind you or whatever.

Since some mods change AP regeneration, to customize AP drain open the console and type the following:
set climbAPCost to (any number, default is 0.32)
set climbAPCostRappel to (any number, default is 0.28 )

Unfortunately no 3rd person animations as I am not an animator. If anyone wants to make animations for them let me know.

This will obviously let you get into places that level designers didn't intend for you to be, so keep that in mind and don't be surprised when climbing the fence to the strip only to find an empty plot of land.
