DESCRIPTION
The tool of choice for any discerning free man, I've always felt that a Crowbar would be a very handy thing to have while scavving the wastes. How else are you going to bust open all those crates and boxes you stumble across? Or defend yourself against soft, fleshy enemies?

This was a very basic mesh edit. I started with the base game Tire Iron mesh and cloned/mirrored some parts to get the top curve, then I rotated the flattened prying section and made a copy so that both ends tapered to a flattened point. I then widened the edges of both flattened sections, and increased the overall size of the mesh by 150%.

Gameplay-wise, this weapon is almost identical to the Tire Iron, but does bonus limb damage and can be used to break locks. Any locked door or container that doesn't require a specific/quest key can be broken by simply activating it while you have the Crowbar in your inventory. A menu will pop up giving you the option to use the Crowbar or to pick the lock normally. Breaking a lock with the Crowbar grants no XP. I've added the weapon to all the appropriate form lists, so that all perks and challenges that affect melee weapons will work as expected. The Crowbar is considered an improved holdout weapon and can be smuggled into casinos with a Sneak skill of 50 or higher.

HOW IT WORKS
As of v1.1, your Strength skill affects what difficulty level of lock you can break. If your Strength skill is less than 3, you won't be able to break any locks. With a minimum Strength skill of 3, you'll be able to break Easy and Very Easy locks. With a minimum Strength skill of 5, you'll be able to break Average locks. With a minimum Strength skill of 7, you'll be able to break Hard locks. With a minimum Strength skill of 9, you'll be able to break Very Hard locks. The script controlling this leveled system runs every time you equip the weapon, so unless you're using this weapon exclusively and never unequip it, it should update more-or-less seamlessly whenever you level up your Strength skill.

LOCATION
The weapon can be purchased from vendors around the Wasteland, or found in random loot drops. Of course, if you're feeling lazy, you can always use the following console command (Substitute ## with the number of the mod in your load order):

player.AddItem ##000ADE 1 ;Gives 1 Crowbar

INSTALLATION
Extract all the files in the archive to your New Vegas data folder (which is the same folder where FalloutNV.esm is located) and then enable the ESP either in your mod manager of choice, or under "Data Files" in the launcher that runs when you start up New Vegas.
