DESCRIPTION
Back in the 1980s, the U.S. Department of Energy issued a contract looking for submachine guns to arm the men guarding nuclear power plants. In response, American firearms manufacturer Colt developed the R0633, which was basically an M16 with a tiny 7" barrel, converted to fire 9x19mm ammunition fed from Uzi-pattern magazines. With my well-known penchant for shortening things, combined with the nuclear connection, it shouldn't be hard to see why I decided to try and make the Fallout universe's analogue to this weapon.

I started with the base game Assault Carbine mesh and collapsed the buttstock. Then, I shortened the handguard and barrel, and widened and flared the front sight blade to make it more useable. Finally, I replaced the magazine with the one from the 9mm Submachine Gun.

Gameplay-wise, this weapon does roughly the same damage as the Assault Carbine and 9mm Submachine Gun. It can be modded with the 9mm SMG Drums and the 10mm Pistol Silencer. I've also added the weapon to all the appropriate form lists, so that all perks and challenges that affect submachine guns (i.e. The Professional) will work as expected.

There is an alternate set of meshes available that shrinks the size of the magazine well to fit closer to the size of the magazine. This is reminiscent of the more modern AR-9 pattern of civilian AR-15 carbines.

Since this is a modder's resource, you're free to use the mesh in your own mods, or take my plugin and modify it however you like to suit your purposes. You don't need to ask permission, but I would appreciate a credit and a link to your mod, so I can see what cool stuff people are doing with the things I make.

LOCATION
The weapon can be purchased from the Gun Runners and other vendors across the Wasteland, or found in random loot drops. Of course, if you're feeling lazy, you can always use the following console command (Substitute ## with the number of the mod in your load order):

player.AddItem ##000ADE 1 ;Gives 1 9mm Police Carbine

INSTALLATION

Extract all the files in the archive to your New Vegas data folder (which is the same folder where FalloutNV.esm is located) and then enable the ESP either in your mod manager of choice, or under "Data Files" in the launcher that runs when you start up New Vegas.
