So did you use a bitcrusher? Def has a creepy feel to it. If you could find midi files of the songs or find a program to transcribe it to midi( hard to believe people do it by hand but maybe) you could put it thru your daw and separate the parts and use whatever instruments you wanted, I do that a lot with normal music, I use mixcraft but there's lots of free alternatives
Any change for you to upload a small sample for us to ear how it sounds like? it's 800Mb mod, i think it's important for the user to know if it's what he is looking for.
