Found out why this wasn't working with other animations. This mod doesn't just replace the texture, it also replaces the mesh .NIF and changes the texture directory to point to its own textures. The animation mods use their own NIF and the vanilla texture directory. (So 1 NIF points to these textures, without the animations, the other points to the animations, without these textures).
I can give info on how to patch it but that does require either modifying these NIF's or the animation mods NIF's, which require permission. So I don't want to do that without getting said permission. If Gaige approves, I'm happy to give further details on what you can do.
Cannot for the life of me get this working with TTW, even went as far to manually port your FO3 esp to work with TTW and still, original blocky textures. :(
thanks for the amazing model. i tried to find side by side double barrel shotgun mod in fnv and this was the only high-quality mod. (actually,there's a widow shotgun mod but sadly that's kind of fictional model..) may i ask you what is the model of this gun in real-life?
You'd need to replace the models/meshes with mine and the texture files. No guarantee that will work though since I dont know content in these other mods but if you try it keep back ups
I tried this with Point Lookout DB Shotgun. I edited the esp to use the new mesh and while the mesh/texture do swap over, the reload animation doesn't work. It will start the animation but when it goes to snap back into place it gets stuck and the gun stays snapped.
Sounds like a animation issue. I didn't do anything with the animations for these nifs, they use the standard sets so maybe that mod has custom animations assets their nifs use or something, I'm not sure.
I can't see any other assets included in the mod. Which reload animation set does your mesh work with? If i'm understanding it right, Point Lookout DB shotgun is using ReloadI.
@ydok4: I haven't gone in and checked yet, but I think Project Nevada, or if you use the new Project Nevada: Equipment Standalone mod (I'm going to be in a new playthrough), they have a Double-Barrelled Shotgun. I can't say 100% it is the Fallout 3 one included, but half the weapons added in are just that. I'm assuming it is, I'd be surprised if it's not.
If you do use or decide to use either of those PN mods, it might mean all the rest is taken care of, and we can just swap in this nicer version visually. But I'm not sure, there may be stuff I'm unaware of that prevents simply swapping em around, on either the PN or this mod's end. To my knowledge, I don't see why it wouldn't work.
