Updated. Mode 2 now works with TTW's speech checks too. Also added a new small option.
"What does the new version do?" Previous plugin's mode 2 didn't work with percentage based speech checks (mode 1 was fine). This fixes it.
"Why does it have both ESPs and a NVSE plugin?" The ESPs remove the [SUCCEEDED] and [FAILED] tags in the dialogue responses (read the description on how to activate the NVSE TileTextHook). If this doesn't bother you or you turned off subtitles, they are completely unnecessary. The NVSE plugin takes care of the rest.
"Why is there a VUI ESP" Use one or the other, not both. The reason is VUI+ requires additional tiles to be modified like the outline and the shadow.
"OK so what does this do?" Removes skill tags so you can stop save scumming to get a beer for those sweet 2 speech points
"Will it delete EVERYTHING inside square brackets?" No, that's the reason the mod was made
"Will it fix my life?" I don't know, you can certainly try, but no promises.
"Do you support NMM?" Nah, move to a working mod manager (Vortex doesn't count btw).
"Why an ESP version and a NVSE plugin version?" The ESP version could be called the "main file" but the experimental NVSE version is fancier. First, you don't need to edit your nvse_config.ini, second, it doesn't require JIP LN (but you should have it anyway), and third, it deletes the dreaded red outlines too :P.
"What do I need for this mod?" NVSE. Though JIP LN isn't a requirement anymore, you should have it anyway, even if you don't use mods that require it, since it fixes engine bugs.
"Why are you so weird?" Why not?
"Is it compatible with TTW speech's system?" Yes
"Is it compatible with Limitless by xqdcss?" YES
"Is it compatible with /Insert X UI mod here/?" The NVSE plugin is, the ESPs, well, should be too.
"Which UI mod do you recommend?" I use DarN right now, so I would go for it. You can't leave behind Vanilla UI Plus though, excellent mod, and I made a patch for it too. In any case, either DarN or VUI+ would be a great choice. If you like the vanilla style, VUI+ all the way. Don't use MTUI, outdated and broken.
"Can I ask you something else?" What do you want to ask?
God bless you, I was just manually patching Classic Dialogue Options last night and was about to write it off as not worth the effort, and then I found this. I look forward to playing with your mod when I get a stable load order.
The nvse only version removes the skill tags and the red highlighting when you would fail a test. The esp version removes the skill check tag, and the [SUCCESS] and [FAILED] after a speech test - but does not remove the red highlighting if you'd fail a test.
Thanks a lot for this! I loved the original mod, but was sorely disappointed to see that it completely nullified Christine's miming in Dead Money. I'll definitely be using this with my next install!

"I forgot"
I see
Enjoy!
Where can I find a decent tutorial and/or information on how to grab and modify text like this mod's script does?
Edit: I managed to change it by modifying the game's code with NVSE, do you want it to show the numbers if it will fail, succeed or neither?
let sText := sv_RegexReplace sText "|\[Speech, [0-9]{1,3}%%\]"
let sText := sv_RegexReplace sText "|\[[A-Z]{0,1}[a-z]{0,9} ?[A-Z][a-z]{3,14} [0-9]{1,6}\/?[0-9]{0,6}\]"
I would love to have the code if you already did the work :) also yes, already removed the ReplacerOnSpeaker.
Looks cute...but what exactly are the dreaded red outlines?
I'd rather skip an esp file if possible,so unless these red outlines happen to show up when you highlight a failed test i'll gladly use the esp lol.
EDIT: It does now.

It works fine with the latest NMM from Github. It seems that once NMM moved out of "NM", it became a functional program.
EDIT: The NVSE plugin version should
