as a point of realism, the material qualities of saturnite would lead to enhanced antipersonnel effects, not armor piercing, as it's supposed to be very light, but very strong. Lack of weight reduces penetrating power, and sharpening a bullet wouldn't produce the desired results to any sufficient degree. And, the metal shows the ability to absorb heat permanently, defying all laws of physics, which would cause additional burning damage after absorbing heat from firing.
Great mod, particularly because I like crafting ammo. I noticed, however, that it lacks recipes for 5.56 mm and 5 mm saturnite ammo even though these rounds exist in the mod.
It says that there is the possibility to upgrade T-51b power armor but I do not see any option to craft anything of the sort, just riot armor and combat armor. Is there anything I'm missing.
You need to craft 3 Saturnite Platings first. You will need 350 Saturnite for each plating. Also, you need to make sure your T-51b power armour is not the Brotherhood variant or the crafting option won't show, even if you have the 3 required Saturnite Platings. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much for releasing this mod and allowing mod creators to make it part of their mods without your permission! I was planning on making an ESP with Skirmisher as a master file and noticed that it didn't use Dead Money. This mod will be crucial for the crafting of Throwing Knife Spears! You saved me a lot of time and thank you so much for making this free to use!
Awesome mod. Elegantly done, useful, functional, very lore friendly, and doesn't seem overpowered
Some ideas for future updates: Add a way to comleate printing/salvage the unfinished saturnite bar/block in saturnite production center. maybe even be able to operate the mining equipment for a bit/every few days. (not necessarily for the saturnite itself more for the acomplishment)
Since the van gafs were able to create a better version of base combat armour maybe make the player be able to create an improvement beyond mk2. something minor like energy resistance or a point of dt. especially if a visual difference is available.
obviously these ideas are based upon my thoughts of fun things to do with saturnite and should be secondary to balance and your own vision.
I used it and it is awesome. TONS of Saturnite and the workbench recipes work fine. However, I have no option to create the ammo (which is why I got it in the first place). I go to the reload bench but there is no type of special ammo available. Do I need the handloader perk for that?
