I used a FG file created from Facegen, managed to transfer my newly created char with the FaceGen race, i exit the game use the program, but it looks nothing like the FG file. Does anyone know how to import facegen files to FNV?
When i selected the race in the menu it has a huge missing mesh (ie red box white exclamation point) error behind me but the character itself shows up just fine. How do i fix it?
It just works. Thank you, actually, I really enjoy your job, and the result exceeded all skeptical expectations. Even taking into account the fact that it is a priori impossible to make an adequate character in a limited FNV environment. ====================================================== I actually ran into a bit of a problem with some missing male mesh, I haven't found out which one yet, but it's probably my fault. A little time to debug and identify the causes will do the trick, so it's nothing at all, and I don't care now either.
It would also be very useful to have an option with custom textures to be able to edit them separately from the main resources of the game. Well, there's makeup, small details, and all that stuff, you know. Perhaps, I can do it by myself, if I really want to, so this is not a big deal too.
P.S: And I really appreciate your way with people. Tips and valuable guidance, polite behavior (as far as I can tell). You're a very nice person.
Is the missing mesh issue you are referring to the first preset head on the facegen race? Because that one shows up as a huge warning sign (aka missing mesh) for me aswell.
Hi there! I tryed this mod with female .fg file and and very disgusted. I choose Facegen Race and sex: female in Race Menu, but after export .fg to game save, the face comes very male. Male .fg exported ok with good quality.
Same here. I tried using console commands on my female character to no avail: "sexchange" resets the face to the "all 0s" preset (making the PC bald in the process), and "showracemenu" reverts the face to an ingame female preset. The same is true for .fg files that don't look typically masculine or feminine according to FaceGen.
FaceGen Exchange only copies from FG file to the player in the save file. To replace the face data for an NPC, you would need to use FNVEdit and FaceGen Exchange for FO3Edit (which also works with FNVEdit even though it says FO3Edit). FaceGen Exchange for FO3Edit will display the shape and texture data from the FG file as hex values that you can copy into the corresponding fields for the NPC in FNVEdit. And to make NPCs use the FaceGen race, you will need to change their race in the FNVEdit or GECK before importing their FG data.
