About this mod

Adds a total of 36 new unique weapons so that almost every base-game weapon has a unique variant!

Permissions and credits
Complete Uniques

TL;DR- This mod adds 36 unique weapons so that almost every base-game weapon now has a unique variant. They are scattered around the wasteland in use by NPCs, discarded in caves/ruins and scattered about populated areas- like they've been forgotten.

Changelog:

Page update- no mod changes, the page description has been refined to make it quicker to read and to ensure that install, uninstall and update instructions are as clear as possible.

1.1- Big Iron has been moved from an NPC inventory to a location in the world due to difficulties spawning the weapon.

What the mod does:
This mod adds 36 new unique weapons to the game so that every base-game weapon which isn't already fairly exclusive has a unique variant. They work with all the same perks, challenges and holdout lists the original weapon does. They will be found in a variety of locations such as on display, scattered in ruins, in trader buildings etc.

I have tried to keep these weapons in line with how the base-game handles unique weapons. Some have lore-friendly names, some have references to outside media and some are just silly. Unless the quirk of a weapon is increased durability, they all have reduced durability to make them more expensive to maintain- therefore reducing the power they have in the early game where your resources are limited but allowing them to meet their potential in the late game when you can afford repairs. This is not only to maintain early-game balance but at the same time this lets many of the new unique weapons remain with you all game- becoming obsolete either in the late game or not at all depending on which weapon you have.

I always felt like most unique weapons just didn't work well enough for late-game, so having this wider variety of unique weapons which can be relevant all the way through your playthrough really widens your options.

The weapons use the base-game textures for the time being. I haven't got a great deal of 3D modelling experience and so I want to spend time producing content rather than learning to make something pretty as this mod is intended to be added to an overhaul pack sometime in the future.

Compatibility:
All weapons in this pack are entirely new items added to the game and as such should not face any issues interacting with other mods. Any changes made to the base-game weapons such as re-balance mods should not affect these weapons.

3. Extract the archive and move the .esp file into your data folder

For NMM, deactivate the mod in your load order and uninstall it from the weapons tab of the downloaded mods menu.
For manual users, delete the file from your data folder.

Updates:
NMM users will have updates delivered automatically, depending on the program settings.
Manual users will need to download updated versions of the file, following the existing install instructions and replacing the .esp file when prompted.

Bugs & Issues
If you encounter a bug with the mod, please use the bug reports tab of the mod page to submit a report, including as much detail as you possibly can. Even small details will help, however can you please at least include the following information:
  • An overview of the bug you encountered
  • The items you were using, including full names of weapons, ammo types loaded, etc.
  • Where you were in the map including details of if you are in the world, in an interior (and which interior), etc.
  • What you were doing when the issue took place including the action you took, the actions any NPCs took, etc.
  • Any other mods you have installed, even if you think they are unrelated to the issue

If you run into a general issue which isn't a bug but you would still like some help, please feel free to leave a post and I will do what I can to help.

Weapon Information:
First of all, I'd like to recommend that you completely ignore this list. The fun in unique weapons is finding them as you go, working out what they do differently than the original weapon. Knowing exactly what they do or where to find them kinda defeats the point as far as I think. If you want to know what they do, I've listed their quirks below as well as rough locations as to where you'll find them. Some locations are more generic than others, I've just named the nearest map marker in most cases. I won't release exact locations unless someone asks specifically for a weapon they want and can't find it anywhere. I really don't want to ruin the fun of finding a unique weapon where you didn't expect to see one!
