VERSION 1.21 - Anti-CTD message hotfix - Fixed the anti-CTD message showing up when you were below level 99.
VERSION 1.2 - Crash free level up above 99! (*) Fixes: - Fixed crashing when leveling up above 99. A message box will appear on every level higher than 99 which should prevent any CTD; - Fixed not being able to raise/see the SPECIAL/Skills past 10/100 in the non-English versions of the game; - The "Uncapped Level" MCM option will take effect immediately. It is no longer required to save the game and then reload. This fix should help if other mods overwrite the level cap; - Also fixed an issue where the uncapped level would not be set when loading a game with this mod for the first time; - Fixed Intense Training perk's name and description not having language localization; - Corrected the "[...] as a result of your <STAT> being above N" perk messages showing 11 respectively 101 instead of 10 respectively 100.

VERSION 1.11 - Now with an actual working Intense Training and Tag! - Fixed the issue where you couldn't raise your SPECIAL attributes and skills past their vanilla limit when using Intense Training respectively Tag! Will not work with older versions of VUI+, get the latest version from here. Many thanks to axonis who helped me out with the problem.
VERSION 1.1 - Now requires JIP LN 53.60+ (!) Limitless Stats is now powered by MCM. The following options have been added: "Perk Messages" - Toggles Perk messages ON/OFF. (requested by many users); "Uncapped Level" - Toggles Limitless Stats level cap ON/OFF. NOTE: This setting doesn't take effect until you save first and then reload the savegame. (requested by payton95 and mattbash556); "Perks Per Level" - Sets the number of perk points available upon leveling up. (requested by Aenya). (*) Fixes: - Fixed TAG menu not showing the value beyond 100 for skills; - Fixed skills and SPECIAL stats not showing the value modified by perks in the levelup and chargen menus; - Fixed the "ASSIGN -N SKILL POINTS" showing up when going back to the skills menu from the perk menu, when your skills are higher than 100; - Corrected the "Your <Stat> is below N" messages showing 10 respectively 100 instead of 11 respectively 101.
I can't be 100% positive if it's a bug with this mod or perhaps a conflict between it and something else, but making a new character and choosing the tag skills seems bugged. After talking through the convo with doc mitchell, he assigns tag skills based on how you answer the question, but taking off the tag skill keeps it at the same level, and if you re-apply it and take it off again, the points go away entirely and tagging does nothing. For example the character I made had an intelligence of 10, and science was one of the tag skills doc mitchell assigned, but taking the tag off and re-applying it made the science skill reset to 15 for some reason within that menu. One of the other tag skills dropped all the way to 7 after applying and re-applying. Other tag skills don't get increased either, it seems, if you toggle them. They're fine if you leave them as Doc Mitchell assigns but get messed up if you do as I described. Again I'm not 100% positive if it's an issue with this mod or a conflict with another, I'm just bringing it up in case something is screwy because I don't remember anything like this happening in previous playthroughs prior to installing this mod.
Ignore the numbers shown to the tagged skills. As long as you see the squares to the left it's all ok. I'm 100% certain it's this mod, as I haven't tested it on the tag interface of a new game.
Again, it's just a visual bug, don't worry about your skills.
This mod unfortunately causes my game to crash when I enter Repconn Testing Facility and this is on a TTW setup if that matters to anybody trying to figure out the crash.
Hey xQd, multiple reports of crashing reported on our forum when entering random cells in both worldspace and normal cells/dungeons both in NV and in TTW.
Repconn, Point Lookout, and a few other places specifically.
Just a heads up.
Thanks for the heads up.
That sounds pretty bad. I have no clue why this mod would cause crashes when entering cells. The only explanation I can give is the leveling above 99. We all know the Gamebryo engine was not meant for that. Maybe there is a chain reaction in the internal code at runtime where having a level higher than 99 would eventually result in a crash. Possibly some code is executed that always depends on the level being below 99... I really don't know.
When I release the next version, I'll make the Uncapped Level MCM option turned off by default. This is the best I can do unfortunately.
It only happens if your speech skill is above 100, but it's not a game-breaking bug by any means. Like OP said, just use the back door and you can continue the quest like normal.
I've had a problem using this mod, recently. I booted up New Vegas again, recently, and it's stopped working. Sometimes the game crashes at start up when it's active, when it doesn't it no longer functions in game. It's altered version of Intense Training pops up as <Missing Name> on the perk selection screen. I've got the latest New Vegas Script Extender as well as the latest JIP LN NVSE Plugin (Installed through FOMM) and the only other mods active are q Skill Books & MCM. It has been a few months since I've played so I don't know if the game updated, Steam updated or something else but plenty of other mods I've tried still seem to work as they did.
Anyone have any insight? Would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Oh and I've also tried (un)installing the mod in various ways. Through Vortex, through FOMM, with it zipped and unzipped. As well as just doing it manually. Checking that it was ticked on the load order each time, all to the same results mentioned above.
I've also opened up the console and saw some stuff that makes no sense to me but might explain what's going to someone who can understand it so I've attached an image of what I found.
Awesome mod, thank you for your work! Is there a way to make the perk updates appear in the upper left corner? I'm right now on 10 PER and every time I enter/exit a building the box pops up with the Eagle Eye perk info. It's a minor annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless.
anyone know if theres a way to set a specific amount of skill points per levelup? thinking of 5+int/2. I use stewietweaks to do so but this mod seems to overwrite it.
Greetings all. Mod works mostly fine in my newest playthrough, but it seems that for whatever reason no options are appearing for this mod under MCM. There's an entry, but when i select it, the window is just blank, nothing to change. Anyone have an idea what might be causing this?
How do I prevent this mod from sending messages to my face every time an ability or S.P.E.C.I.A.L. It goes down or up and one of the benefits that this mod gives is added or removed? It's super annoying.

Edit: I did not have MCM yet when I downloaded the mod. It offers an option to turn the messages off
So, just thought I'd leave this here, but as PowerArmorGuy describes below, if you get all your stats to 10+, the Intense Training perk stops working and won't give you more points to spend. The game basically treats you as effectively 'maxed out', as if you had 10s everywhere in vanilla.
But then, if you keep a single stat at 9... it does not stop working. You can keep increasing the others as much as you care to, for as long as you want, as long as no other perk you get gives you that +1 to the one stat you wish to keep at 9 (and if it does get raised by accident, you can always console command it back to 9). NOTE: Careful. Use the modav command, not setav. I'm told the latter messes up several things.
In other words, select a 'dump stat', and keep it at 9 - which is still pretty darn good, y'know, lol. Then, keep increasing all the others however you please. Not the perfect solution, granted, but hey, 6 potentially limitless stats out of 7 is still pretty darn good.
Thanks for the attempted assistance. I went in the levelup_menu.xml file, but the value on the line you mentioned was already at 100.
However, I saw you also referred someone else to char_gen_menu.xml for the Skills.
I went to check, and I found a line identical to the one you were referring to for the levelup_menu file, namely:
<_MaxValue> 10 </_MaxValue> <!-- The max value for a stat -->
...along with the one you mentioned for the stats:
<_MaxValue> 100 </_MaxValue> <!-- The max value for a stat -->
......Soooooooo I'm going to change them respectively to 100 and 999, and hope 1) my game doesn't explode and 2) it fixes the issue. Since I'm restarting a new game entirely (haven't played in like a year and barely remember the controls and the mods I had installed, lol, so I thought a fresh start wouldn't hurt) it'll take a while to test it, but I'll try to report my findings if I can recall to do so by then.
In case it all goes well and I forget to return because there's no problem anymore, thanks a lot for your help.
Well, my game didn't explode, but I was unable to test out if it worked, because my heavily modded game died on me last year, lol. I had a game breaking bug which I'm trying to solve - as in, after a while, when I log back in, all my quests vanish in the quest menu - so right now I'm trying to solve that.
Anyway, for the playthrough I'm going to attempt if I manage to fix the damn bug, I'll try FerionLegacy's fix mentioned above:
This has been the basis for one of my most entertaining playthroughs ever and i recommend it without reservation. If you've played the game multiple times and you're looking for something fresh, look no farther.
One problem came up in my current game - it's one that can be dealt with in the console, so no biggie. But if anyone has a solution I wouldn't mind seeing it. When I select Intense Training on the perks screen I'm now getting "Available 0/0" instead of "0/1" and I have to use "player.forceav [name of special] [level]" to increase the SPECIAL. It hadn't been a problem previously, so I'm kind of stumped at this point.
