So, I know it's late 2022 and BNFTM hasn't posted here since like 4 years ago, but I'll say this nonetheless in case they come back eventually. Who knows. Apologies in advance for the wall of text, I love this mod, I think it could be even far greater, and I get passionate about stuff I like. XD

    1) This mod is generally amazing, a lot of fun and filled with interesting possibilities. I love the concept and I love what was done with it so far for the most part, so thanks for that. I know I seem to complain a lot in the much larger paragraphs below, but I assure you, it comes from a place of love and support, lol.

    2) While I get what you were going for, Dehydratation and Starvation go up WAY too fast to the point that they are heavily annoying (in my personal opinion, of course). Feels like I have to drink and eat non-stop to do anything. That being said, I don't think that the concept of such a fast metabolism burning up food and water faster was bad, but I do feel the effect was overdone here. I would recommend to either make it optional, and/or to add an option for lowering the speed at which they both increase by at least 50%. Even if halved, the increase would be significant and noticeable compared to vanilla Hardcore.

    3) The chems effects being rendered essentially completely useless is both crippling (the healing over time effect is very slow and does not make up for it) and very unpleasant to me. If there were some relatively easy way to make them effective again for a Speed Force user - as was hinted at in your 'Future Plans' - I suppose it wouldn't be as bad, but given that the option to make up for it doesn't exist yet, the limitation itself should not either. Furthermore, the whole 'chems effects barely work on a Speed Force user' thing may make sense for chems because fast metabolism and all that, but there's many mods out there that use Aid category items for other purposes than chems, and the limitations caused by your mod applies to them as well, which essentially makes several things useless whereas it really shouldn't affect them at all.

And finally, there's just the fact that I love mods because they add things to the game, but because of that flaw, this mod makes almost an entire section of items into basically unusable junk. Adding limitations can be fun in good measures, but taking away entire game mechanics ruins things for people who love using them. For example... I love cooking in the game, and got both a cooking mod and a mod to make lots of chems. If I use those with your mod, the former feels like a chore because I'm starving every few minutes, and the latter is completely useless because the effects vanish in an instant. So, again, in my personal opinion, the 'chems barely work' flaw should be, at best, entirely optional, both for the sake of not preventing fun parts of vanilla, and for compatibility with other mods.

    4) This one I haven't seen for myself, but I recall a user's comment mentioning that if you become the Black Flash, most major factions suddenly become hostile to you, to which you had responded you might work on that in the future. Unless it has already been fixed, I would like to request that it is as well. It doesn't make sense to me that post-apocalyptic Mojave wasteland factions would care, let alone know, about what the Black Flash is. In fact, if they knew what any Flash was, and they were aware that the Courier would be one of them, I'd imagine they would all rather LOVE to have the Courier on their side, as opposed to suddenly start hating them for no reason all of a sudden. It's not like every survivor out there in the Fallout verse is a DC fan who knows that the Black Flash is basically a Grim Reaper for speedsters. And if they did, would they *really* want to shoot at such a thing just because?

So yeah, I think this mod has amazing potential. I think it could be the best superhero mod on the entire game. I just think it needs some tweaking and adjusting on those points. For everything else, I tip my hat off to you. This looks incredible in general. Those are my personal thoughts on this mod; do with them as you please; or don't. I'm just some rando on the nexus, not any kind of authority on
the matter, lol. But enough rambling on and on.

Cheers, and I hope you're doing well, whatever you're doing.

Hey dude, I'm not the original creator but I've also been a passionate fan of this mod for years, and wanted to add my own stuff to what you wrote (TL;DR I agree with everything)

      1. Absolutely true. While this mod had more hopes than actual content, the roleplaying potential added by the mod was immense. Even the choice of picking which speedforce you aligned with at the start as a trait really let's you get a feel for what character you want to be, even the addition of speedforce colour changing over time/karma (like CW's Zoom character).

2 & 3. I agree as well. I know what the intended aim was: a super fast metabolism which makes the speedster less reliant on chems and needing to eat more (as pointed out in comics and in more recent times the CW show (which is a clear inspiration for the mod)). But as the commentor suggested, the actual impacts on player health and items are a tad too high. As they pointed out many aid items, especially in hardcore, become redundant and useless, doubly so when the aid items may have been modded in and needed for a quest. I think a more balanced approach would've been to apply a quarter or half duration for aid items. This would also aid character building, as speedsters would normally disregard chems or a chem related build due to its ineffectiveness; now you could *choose* to put your perks into a chem build (like chemist and logan's loophole) to become a speedster who decided to augment their body with advanced chemicals, over a speedster who put their points into unarmed perks (to replicate the Professor Zoom hand attacks).

In short, while I understand the concept for the fast metabolism, I think the implementation could be eased to allow more diverse builds.

      4. Think that was me who made that comment x)
Yeah you've seen my thoughts on Black Flash, and yeah I don't think the reputation thing is the way to implement this feature. That being said I'm IN LOVE with the idea of this feature though, and I loved earning it with fighting the black flash and such. I've thought about it over the years (and tried to mod it, I'll say more later) and I think essentially it should be a choice whether you accept the speedforce's offer. If you accept, your karma is locked into neutral/bad (for being an indifferent executioner/ serial killer who's the grim reaper). Ofc there shouldn't be too much penalty in the baste game for being the black flash beyond the flavour of bad karma (like people saying you're a dark person/ Cass leaving you for being a psychopath). I think the main penalties should come from the mod itself, such as not being able to take speedforce companions, and maybe timed quests where you have to hunt down a rogue speedster. Getting ahead of myself, I think rogue speedster enemies could be an interesting mechanic for black flash players, so you can keep your (frankly OP) abilities but you have to do periodic bounty quests for the speedforce to keep them.

Essentially I think the Black Flash should be a more solitary bounty hunter type build with a locked karma, rather than one who's barred from completing the game cuz all factions attack on sight. Like NPCs should recognise you're twisted individual but like the commentor said, Colonal Moore or Caesar would absolutely love to have someone like the Black Flash working for them, especially if they think he's just a talented killer (they send you to kill brotherhood, the president, etc.) and not the grim reaper for a cosmic force.

*That being said* I recall I didn't properly explain what the Black Flash mechanic actually does in the mod presently when I commented (for all who are curious about it). Basically if you defeat him 3 times (for abusing speedster mechanics like time remnants), then the speedforce forces you to take the mantle of Black Flash. THIS ISN'T WHAT MAKES FACTION'S HOSTILE since it isn't clearly defined. IIRC whenever you equip the twisted speedforce or the undroppable Black Flash armour (can't remember which one), then all NPCs in the area from a faction that's listed as NCR, Legion, etc. become hostile. It won't affect your actual reputation I don't think UNLESS you start running around a lot and making a lot of those NPCs hostile, more so if you choose to attack those NPCs, but that's the same if you do stuff in faction armour as well.

I did end up fixing this when I tried to reboot the mod for my personal use (and then release it later on when it was at a good stage (with OP's credit)). IIRC it was just a quick edit in FNVEdit with either the armour or the twisted speedforce effect. I basically removed the 'make NPCs hostile' effect and the black speedforce no longer made people hostile. I also fixed the hardcore stats and chem duration in the same way. The [Negative] Speedforce traits have a multipler on the duration and advancement of those stats (hardcore was something like 3x, duration was like 0.0000001x) so a little tampering to that resolved the balance issue for me. However, I couldn't crack the speed loss issue (a bug where you lose all player mobility when exiting speedforce in later levels), so my attempt to revitalise the mod came to an end :(.
I ended up losing the edits I made years back when I revamped my NV playthrough for New California, so I don't really have them anymore, but hopefully I was clear enough above so someone else can replicate what I did to adjust the balance for themselves :)

I concur that this mod has insane potential, one of the only mods that could get me to write paragraphs about it and nearly made me learn how to make mods and script in gamebryo in order to carry on it's legacy. It truely is one of the best and well made superhero mods in NV with amazing potential, and it's kinda sad to see the mod die out. I often come to this page hoping to see an update or something.
I do want to start learning about mods again so I can pick up this mod and implement the ideas the creator never got to, but I don't have much time these days :P

Ditto for the last line from @ShadeTheSilent :)

I know this has been months but just putting this here in case other people wonder the same.

      1. This is a standalone mod so shouldn't need any other mods (except NVSE maybe) to work.

      2. The hotkey is given to you after the first time you activate speedforce. When you do, a new armour item called 'speedforce hotkey' is put into your inventory which can be given a hotkey.

Yeah I think the mod died, which is a shame considering how well made it is.

    Noticed a few odd bugs
Bart killls my speed, like normal speed. I'll use my super speed and turn it off and suddenly I am slow, only when bart was active as a companion
and the speedster clones are unkillable for me
