I've found a solution but not 100% sure if I'm doing it correctly, so take it with a grain of salt: The file incriminated is "map_menu.xml" located in ".\Data\menus\main" You need to have the "map_menu.xml" coming from DarnUI so if you overwrite it, revert the process. And edit it to add these lines
At line 264 that contain "<!-- ===== WORLD MAP ===== -->" insert AFTER <rect name="NOGLOW_BRANCH"> <id> &noglow_branch; </id> At line 387 (before previous edit) that contain "</hotrect>" insert AFTER </rect>

I'm creating a zip archive of useful materials for a Fallout pen and paper RPG that I'm going to upload to the No Mutants Allowed forum. May I have permission to include this work as well as your other New Vegas map? I'll give credit.
This satellite look is cool and closer to classic pip-boy maps but one problem in dead money villa map: casino and villa have no roofs. In-game it is optimization question but really buildings covered by roof. Without in villa looks like front wall. And little remark about Big MT map: zone with red crystals have huge noise on the map. Maybe small distortions will be good.

P.S. You forgot the tiles in between the locations, look thoroughly
