    Is this mod affected by YUP or the unofficial patch? Will it be redundant if I have it installed with any of those bug fix mods?

      Thought I'd answer just for anyones future reference, so sorry for the necro :P

      This mod doesn't carry over anything that YUP does (Unofficial Patch Plus doesn't touch the perk it sems), so you'd have to manually go in xEdit and carry things over. YUP DOES carry over several other DLC weapons that should have been in the perks list tho, mainly the police pistol, knives and revolver pistols from across the dlcs.

    Hi, if you're still maintaining this mod can you make a version that will require 45 guns but allows you to have either 45 in explosives OR melee?

      Nope, best you can do is apply a honor system to yourself and not get the perk unless you meet the conditions you consider appropriate.

    I added medicine stick to the copy I DL'd. I think it's strange they do not account for their on dlc.s even.

    Would it be possible to add the other 'cowboy-style' weapons, or ones that would be available during the Wild West era? Some ideas are:

    -The Single Shotgun for sure, and it kinda irks me it wasn't included in the vanilla perk, when the over-under (caravan) shotgun was.

    -The tin grenade (as I know improvised explosives were a thing back then and this is super low-tech, as the tape could be some other adhesive instead)

    -The cleaver and Chopper

    -The Cosmic Knife. Cosmic Knife Clean. and Cosmic Knife SuperHeated (as it's basically a kitchen knife, which is already in the perk)

    -Straight razor (and its unique Figaro)

    -Lead pipe (they used cast iron back then, but same idea I think; this one's on the fence about being 'cowboy' enough)

    -Shovel

    -Sledgehammer

    -Throwing knife spear (and knife spear, perhaps) given the natives used similar

    -Baseball bat (baseball was invented in 1839, well within 'cowboy' times)

    -Pool cue (Billiards was a thing played in Wild West taverns, though less popular than poker ofc)

    -Iron and spiked knuckles (and Love and Hate), as these existed then.

    I did some research into the Wild West and learned some new things while making this list, so that's cool. Hope you could add at least some of these to your mod, or even better all of them. I would, but I have no idea how to use the GECK. Thanks for your time and consideration!

      I am not planning to update this anymore - but I can explain how to add any weapon you want to the Cowboy perk. If you atleast have the GECK setup then you can just open "PerkCowboyWeapons" in the Form List section, then go to Weapons and drag & drop whichever weapons you like into the list.

    are the weapons added with a script or does it overwrite the cowboy weapons formlist?

    Beth probably forgot to add some newer DLC weapons, which are clearly bolt-action, to the perk.

      Pretty sure that one is affected by default, unless it's bugged in the vanilla game.
