Version 1.2.0 introduces some experimental sorting mods for the aid and misc categories only. It would be helpful if people could find the time to try them out and let me know what they think.
In the INI:
iMode=0 is the default mod behaviour, adding your custom prefixes to the enabled item categories.
iMode=1 only covers aid and misc items (so far). The prefixes will only be visible in the PipBoy inventory.
iMode=2 also only covers aid and misc. No prefixes are added, and instead items are sorted under separators in the item list, like Aid and Drinks.
Note to iMode=2 Users If you use lStewieAl's Tweaks, you must set bHideMiscQuestItems = 0 in that mod's INI file, else you will not be able to see the dividers in the misc inventory tab.
For some reason the La Fantoma magazine gets consistently sorted under Utilities in Mode 2 for me, while being correctly shown as Mag in the other modes.
Also as a suggestion, some sort of combined option would be nice where Mode 2 works inside the pip boy while Mode 1 or 0 can be enabled only for containers and barter.
Same with "¡La Fantoma!". xEdit tells me that the magasine is correctly set as a magasine in the appropriate "magasines" formlist of this mod, and so, i couldn't tell why this bugged out.
And so, i had a funny idea. The "¡" being the first character in the magasine's name is typically a spanish thing. And so, i renamed the item in the GECK into "La Fantoma!", removing the "¡" altogether, without even changing anything else. Saved. Reloaded my saved game. And the magasine is now properly sorted in the "Magasines" category. After further testing, it appears that it works if you just add a space before the "¡", too. And so, anything that is not a special character should work.
How funny is that? The solution is actually simple. The problem was that the item's name started with a special character. Maybe the mod failed to sort it at all because of it, since there is no implemented alphabet including such a symbol, and each category is ordered alphabetically. And so, it dropped it at the bottom of the whole list. Maybe, just a theory.
[Delete] Ah sorry i asked a question about this mod and repair kit mod but somehow it started working now after reinstalling both mods. sorry and thanks for the awesome mods
There is a bug where sometimes prefixes for some entire categories will not show up. This may be placebo but on my end it seems to be related to the game loading too quickly, especially playing on an SSD. If I wait about 10-30 seconds on the main menu screen before continuing the game, and it seems to eliminate the bug. YMMV
I have this weird bug with mode0 sometimes I found randomly on the world an item under the category BOOK called <no name>, I can loot it and trow it in the floor but not much else, here are some images ( I put a normal book beside it to remark that books seem to be working) https://ibb.co/pLQKFrh https://ibb.co/YRZ8FS5 https://ibb.co/BZfrd1s I like mode0 cause I can see the tags when moving things from my inventory to a container, or when looting, which mode 1 or 2 don't have, it's there's a way to have mode0 on looting window and mode2 in the pitboy, or something similar? Also I liked to know what that <no name> item is and how can I fix it, Thanks!

I installed "NVSE xNVSE" but I don't think that's what this mod is looking for.
Otherwise, it seems this mod is not working at all.

When I start a new game, the mod does not work. I have to exit the game, reinstall the mod, and then it works as it should.
I have all the necessities (I followed the Viva New Vegas guide, so everything is installed/loaded properly).
Minor annoyance, but wonder why this happens.
