I'm using this with TTW and BLEED. At first I thought this was great, but... My DT is in 20s already(which makes me largely immune to a lot of guns even though I'm playing on hard) and I don't even have power armor yet. Meanwhile a cursory look through the wiki suggests that except for certain robots and enemies with power armor, enemy DT mostly caps at 15 and indeed I'm killing super mutant masters just fine using assault rifle with armor piercing ammo. Maybe it's because TTW 3.2 makes specialty ammo a bit too plentiful in the capital wasteland(although I'm pretty sure it's not exactly rare in vanilla NV either, especially once you get to Freeside and gun runners), but I'm starting to think that this really should be combined with something that generally increases enemy DT values at least a little. Sure, enemies with power armor are hard to kill, but those really aren't that common(especially in vanilla New Vegas, where power armor is basically nonexistent outside BoS).

Having DT roughly in 20's won't make you by any means immune towards anything, even with this installed! LOL First of all some DLCs (if not all of them!) scale enemies to your level, which means if you are very high level, then they'll do very high damage! I was in my 40's level range already when venturing into The Devide and Deathclaws at level 40+ deal 350 raw points of damage on Normal difficulty! On Very Hard they do TWICe as much for a whooping 700 points! Tell me what your petty 20's points of DT is gonna do against that?! LMAO It will just substract those 20 something from 700 points of damage to reduce it to 670+ points of damage (that is provided you don't also use mods, that adds any form of Damage Resistance protection or don't wear Rebreather which adds very miniscule 3 points to damage resistance anyway...) A big freaking difference whether it's all 700 pts of dmg or slightly over 670! You are toast either way in a single freaking blow! Majority of guns in this game do well over 20 points of damage and only a handful of low tier weapons like 9mm pistols, Varmint Rifle, Silenced .22 pistols and a couple more do below 20! This shows you don't know what you're talking about, considering the raw values even from these weapons are exponentially higher with each higher difficulty setting you apply...Maybe do some actual research next time ,before coming here saying things you have no idea about?...just sayin'!...

"Do your research" says the guy who doesn't know that Deathclaws ignore DR/DT. But Spodah is right; few enemies have heavy armor, and a very large number of them have low DAM weapons, even if the DPS is fairly high. For example, shotguns, 10mm submachine guns, laser RCWs, service rifles, miniguns, gatling lasers, laser pistols, flamers, and machetes, are all completely negated with 20DT. A few more DT, and you'll be shrugging off katanas and laser rifles and incinerators, and several other basic melee weapons. Get into the 30's, and you can shrug off plasma pistols, 12.7mm submachine guns, all the Van Graff plasma rifles, machete gladius, and shoulder-mounted machine guns. While plenty of guns exceed this, many of them are not used by NPCs often, if at all.

@blackwizardmagus Two reasons why Deathclaws DON'T ignore DT/DR: First, if I use med-x and slasher in combo with my power armor, deathclaws do WAY less damage to me. Second, it doesn't say anywhere on any of the deathclaws on the wiki that their attacks ignore DT/DR. Sincerely, where did you get this info?

For people saying that this mod breaks the game, there's a simple solution. If you have JIP LN NVSE Plugin, open the mod file and navigate to JIPLNNVSE\nvse\plugins. Open the .ini file and change  bLocalizedDTDR=0 to 1. This gives player and NPC heads their own damage threshold, meaning your bullets just need to penetrate the DT of the headgear, which is usually 2 or 3 unless it's power armor. In the base game the DT of head and body are added together so someone's headgear uses the total DT or the body armor and helmet together. Instead of just their headgear.

This is actually very lore friendly. Remember back in Fallout 1/2 when you virtually couldn't even touch Super Mutant or Enclave enemies without high.power weaponry

Disagree. Everything has weak spots. Power Armor has parts such as joints that are less armored, super mutants has eyes and such. Minimum damage is a simulation of hitting those parts.

Actually, I have vivid memories of one-shotting super mutants and Enclave goons with the Limited Edition Red Ryder BB gun. Critical hits were really brutal in the 2D Fallouts if your skill was high, and in fact had a marked tendency to completely ignore armor.

In fact, if you added that - crits ignoring armor - to this mod, IMO that'd be quite spiffy!

The Red Rider Limited Edition is one of the most powerful guns in Fallout 1, that's why you were able to kill them.

DT wasn't very high in the old games, but strong armor also had high AC, and what DID hit was reduced by both a flat DT amount and then a DR percentage. This was a better system that encouraged certain weapon types, but still left it entirely possible to use lesser guns. Making it a straight-up wall where everything below X is useless is not lore friendly.

Is there a mod that does the opposite to this? Apparently a bandana negates all faceshot damage.

Confirmed it works! This mod make Death Claws and Giant Scorpion is so painful to kill. 5.56 .357 or shotgun doesn't even scratch them. And those can just 1 hit me while I have DT8 only. Other human enemy doesn't have much DT can easy to kill with 1 - 2 shot, this mod make me thinking a lot about choosing the right weapon and ammo for each type of enemy.

Can you provide any tips as to how you got it working? I tried using this mod several times but it never seemed to work. Even placing it at the very bottom of the load order didn't make it work. Perhaps it had something to do with the damage-multiplier mod that I was using (and am still using)? Regardless, I ended up switching to a similar mod, Threshold, but that one doesn't work either.

for me it does not work
i dont know what is the reason, but everytime i shoot an explosive very close my character dies, i have very large dt
so don't know what is the reason, is it because dt does not work for explosives and there r other modifiers for it?
please help me i dont want my explosives kill me
it is not realistic, but it is a game in the end and i want to feel more comfortable about it and use explosives more often
