Will there be an all in one for all your fixes?

Maybe. A few could be argued to be not fixes so much as personalization. But I have so many planned that it'll quickly start to look ridiculous to post individual mods for each of them.

Best practice, particularly for tiny mods like these, is to make use of a bash program. Merge Plugins (found on Skyrim Nexus - usable for multiple games) does this adequately. Add any tiny mods all to one big chunk and squish them all into a single .esp.

You separate the fixes into one and the personal tweaks into the other but you're right some people may like certain changes and not others so it's while less efficient for the guy who wants it all, is better for the guy who wants the option to pick and choose.

Has this mod been integrated into YUP or other patch-mod?

Yes, this mod is part of UPNVSE+. You will have to activate it in that mod's INI file, though.

Edit (7-23-23): This mod's fixes have been removed from UPNVSE+.

Unofficial NVSE patch got nothing to do with YUP though...and the question was whether YPU itself has it as one of it's fixes, which isn't the case!...

work on your reading comprehension @Chupacabra31. He asked if it's part of a PATCH MOD. UPNVSE+ is a PATCH MOD. Learn to read.

Why tying up morale checker to a YUP, that not everyone uses? :|

Yukichigai Unofficial patch modifies the morale points requirement to 9 in order to obtain the best result. However, this mod is still useful for those that feel Return to Sender isn't rewarding enough, otherwise running with YUP only will require the player to obtain massive amounts of dog tags and Legion ears in order to achieve the best result.

Hi Lucas9. How many dog tags exactly, because official wiki states 15 dog tags in increments of 5. I have already gaveQuartermaster Mayes a couple, and know he took 16 from my inventory and nothing changes. I use YUP, I don't get it did he change it to 30 or something?

Saw this got added to the Unofficial Patch Plus. Thanks for your contributions to it, and the community, Asterra! My goodness NV is a bug-ridden beast.

I can't find any evidence that it was patched out, however there is an earlier disused version of the quest which did reward the morale points as expected, and would've also upgraded two of the guards from regular troopers to rangers. None of this happens in the final version.

It seems to me that for whatever reason the results from the quest stages 100-103 from this disused version of the quest "VMSRSGlobalCommBreakdown" (also named Return To Sender) didn't make it over to the final "VMS52" version.

Perhaps the scripts on Reyes dialogue originally triggered these quest stages, which was obviously no longer an option once this version of the quest was deprecated.

There's a heck of a lot of unused stuff in this quest. Kinda sad it never made it to fruition.

Thank you for this mod Asterra. In fact thanks for your mods recently; many are the humble fixes I have been desperately looking for.

I wonder what the criteria is for YUP to not have included some of the fixes you have provided. This issue, imho, is a legitimate bug in that it was once working as intended and does no longer.

I would ask over at the YUP page, but I don't think they'll have time for a humble simpleton like myself.

Thanks again, will download & endorse ASAP.

YUP is the perfect "mandatory install" mod precisely because it takes pains to avoid anything that could be reasonably argued, even a little, to be working-as-intended. I can't fault them for what they choose not to include. There are several other accumulated "bug patches" out there, one or two quite exhaustive, yet they invariably include a lot of alterations that are bluntly based on the personal taste of the author(s). NVAC is a good example. It has a lot of good and a lot of bad, based on those criteria. I personally went through the considerable trouble of vetting every single change it made, and keeping about half of the package -- the half that probably should have been part of YUP.

I actually have pages of minor bugs I intend to eventually fix. Just yesterday I discovered that about half of the dialogue choices with Lt. Haggerty for starting That Lucky Old Sun are no longer available, including the ones stipulated by the Wiki for claiming to be with NCR. Still in the game, but not tied to any conversation. No clue why. Like the Camp Forlorn Hope morale issue, this is a good example of something that isn't precisely a bug (since it was obviously Obsidian's choice to patch it out) but removes content that previously existed, with apparently zero purpose behind doing so. So, it's questionable whether YUP would include a fix.

In one of my last playthroughs, I've had with me in the Nelson assault 4 veteran rangers. Obtaining 10 loyalty points is possible, otherwise how would I do it?

I am not sure but if you are using YUP I think it may also fix this bug.
Nice of the author making a stand alone version though.

I can only answer with the data I have. First, yes, there was a time when it was possible to get 10 points without mods, because I remember doing this on the 360. Second, no, YUP does nothing related to Forlorn Hope morale, let alone the Return to Sender quest. Third, it is a 100% fact that Return to Sender, in its finalized New Vegas iteration, fails to award any morale, in spite of what the Wiki says. The Wiki was almost certainly written at a time when Return to Sender awarded morale precisely the way it says it does. Fourth, I personally experienced this bug, ending up with 9 points, which first prompted me to try finishing Return to Sender in several different ways (through console commands), but ultimately to write this mod which gives the result I should have been getting.

There's also a chance that you mistook what you saw. For 7-9 points, you get four rangers with sniper rifles -- at a glance, it looks exactly the same as the reward for 10+. I've put a morale checker in this mod's miscellaneous downloads section. You can use it to observe your current morale (both before and after Return to Sender, if you have saves for both).
