Its so upsetting this version is abandoned. it seems kind of redundant to have to install a giant mod with a ton of changes and many known conflicts just to make one vanilla follower permanent :/
Sad that this version (as I guessed from the description) is abandoned. I guess I can't use CFEE, it mentions things that I think will conflict with JIP CCC. And another similar mod wasn't updated since 2011. The mod started to bug out right from the start because Roxie ignores commands to keep the distance from the CCC, the companion wheel, and the dialogue. I'm a bit afraid to test it further. Hope that LFOxidizer will someday finish their version of this mod. Been a while since they asked for permission...
I made an edit of this mod back in 2019 that makes Roxie level with the player. Seeing as this is abandoned, and using CFEE is not an option for those of us who use other mods affecting companions, do I have permission to upload it on Nexus? I will give you credit, of course.
yep had the same issue even when full;y removing this mod and all files she is still with me after OWB and causes so many red triangles i had to start a new game
nice effort poor execution seeing as it causes red triangles and issues with other mods if you could make it so you can find her in gibson scrap yard AFTER doing OWB and you need to rebuild her (high science and repair skill) then this might be a good mod as it currently stands not worth it due to the issues is causes
Great concept but poor execution. She's too fragile and Big mt is a nightmare to navigate without jumping, meaning she often can't directly follow you and runs into packs of enemies which down her instantly.
After making a minor couple of edits in the GECK (Based on the feedback here regarding Roxie's low health and lack of level scaling), and wandering around the Big Empty until I found the holotape for Roxie's Sonic Bark, then heading back to the Mojave, I have to admit, I like having Roxie with me.
Don't get me wrong, I like Rex, but... He's always felt like the King's dog, not mine. Roxie was made by us as a direct result of messing around in X-8, and she follows us.
Plus, I like the OWB police cyberdogs the most. Getting to bring one of them back to the Mojave just feels right.
Roxie apparently doesn't level in this mod, and her health is pretty low. I recommend opening up the console, click on Roxie, type 'setav health 440'. (or whatever other value you'd like but 440 is Rex's health so I think that's the most balanced option.) This will increase your max health to an amount much more suitable for the type of enemies the player will be encountering at that level and in Big M.T.
