    Hi, thanks for this mod, I'm glad to have this ED-E in my party.

    I have the same problem as other users -- ED-E will stop following me after combat. He will fast travel but not move. I have solved that problem.
    (FWIW I am running TTW and an unlimited followers mod to allow me + boone + dogmeat + ED-E and a mod that overhauls dogmeat).

    Researching it sounds like ED-E has a bug in the base game that causes him to lose his weapons. ED-E stops moving because he is stuck looking for those weapons. Some suggest spawning weapons in ED-Es inventory but that does not work for this ED-E because (I suspect) they use a different weapon set. With that in mind I luckily had a save I could fall back to during the quest and used "~ showinventory" to get a list of ED-Es inventory from when he was working. 0400AB55 (ED-E Arc Welder), 00078CC2 (Energy Cell), and 040076A9 (Ed-E Arc Welder). All 3 of those are absent when ED-E is stuck.

    My solution to fix ED-E is
    ~ (tilda key), click ED-E
    additem 0400AB55 1
    additem 00078CC2 1
    additem 040076A9 1

    ED-E moves again! Woohoo!

      just a quick warning for anyone else reading this, but sometimes these item id's are different. for example, in my save, ed-e's arc welders were 0800AB55 and 080076A9, as opposed to op's id's. so, if for some reason this doesn't work, try reverting back to an old save just to get ed-e's specific welder id's, or try the id's i supplied if that's not possible.

      otherwise, this should work perfectly and solve the issue where ed-e just doesn't move during battle! (btw op, thank you so much for this tip!)

      to anyone confused by this, the first two digits on any form id denotes the location of the mod in your load order. vanilla items are 00, because they are in the first "mod" the base game. the first two digits can be seen by looking at your load order and seeing the digit combo. if you want to see a specific id for a vanilla item, you can look it up on the fallout wikia. if you want to see a specific form id in a mod of yours that you cant find, i suggect you learn how to use fnvedit, as you can open up a mod .esp and see the added items, armors, ammos, weapons, etc, and see their entire form id's to put into a console command. a very useful tool, and definitely worth learning. sorry for the lack of caps, my pinkie on my right hand hurts and i didnt want to slow my typing by using another finger.

      Not sure if it's the only cause, but for me, entering casinos with Ed-E is the source of the problem.
      He is stripped of his weapons but does not receive them back when you exit.
      Telling him to wait outside casinos has worked for me so far.

      I had this problem of ED-E just floating around and not following in the vanilla DLC, without this mod installed. In my case it was a lack of ammo that caused the problem and I've posted a simple fix for it:

      I tryed this and the Lonesome Road ED-E Ammo Fix and Weapon Powerup , and Ed-e still doesn't engage in combat, when we are being attacked he just keeps floating in the same place , Ed-e already have this weapons in his inventory so i dont know what is happening, pls help :c

      hi nodevski, why did you take your mod down? im having this problem of ed-e not doing anything just in the vanilla dlc as well and no fix ive tried has worked

    Well I'm back again. First off thank you for fixing all the other bugs i reported. The only problem I'm having with this one is that ED-E doesn't attack.

      pretty sure that has nothing to do with this mod, is most likely a bug from the base DLC or another mod.

      Hmm something like that happened before, guess improved companion sandbox is causing the problem.

      Same problem here,i dont have improved companion sandbox , but i have JIP companions, i dont know what to do q.q

    So does this mean that you can have the Lonesome Road clone and the original with the license plate side by side.

    Thanks for the mod, I'm glad I was able to keep the little guy.

    I've been poking around xEdit but can't find where the text of the EDE part of the ending slideshow is. Especially since the relevant commentary is only sounded out by beeps, a change the text that appears when you have general subtitles on, to something consistent with this mod, would be quite seamless. Would you happen to know where that info is located?

    Edit: okay, found 'em. Looks like a pretty easy operation to change the wording.

    I'm probably being dumb and missing something obvious, but no matter what I can't start the game with this mod enabled. I disabled every other mod I had leaving only FalloutNV.esm and LonesomeRoad.esm remaining alongside it. I really like the idea of this mod and wish I could use it. Anyone have a fix or suggestions?

    Thankyou so much for this mod, after lonesome road I was so upset that I'd lost this version of ED-E, even after firing the missiles at the Legion to save him that I stopped playing the game. He's an extremely lovable character, and probably my favourite. Veronica is a close second, can't help feeling sorry for her. Anyway, this mod made the game for me, thanks. 10/10 would get upset and download again.

    Hey just a quick question. does this mod affect the ending slides? I mean, even if ED-E sacrifices himself does it play the ending slide it normally would or do we get the slide we would get if he survived?

      bit late, but just for reference ending slides are completely unaffected
