The only thing I could criticize is that the ceiling is very low but everything else is incredible, I wish the creator would come back and add several to the capital wasteland TTW
Awesome stuff! One of those "this stays in!" mods :-)
For those confused with the mod's name and description, there are actually two locations -- one near 188 and the other near Sunset Sarsaparilla headquarters. My recommendation - take a walk from 188 and discover them in the evening or at night :-) What you get are two excellent locations which can be used as shelters, some special weapons, some special clothes (shemag and war rags, a very nice combo) and a nice doggo follower. As for the issues, I haven't found anything that can't be dealt with easily: 1 During the installation, Vortex reports conflicts with New Vegas Bounties III and Yukichigai Unofficial Patch - YUP about 4 files related to dog meshes (Meshes/Creatures/Dog). As I'm already ok with the way dogs look in my game, I simply let this mode lose (=load before) and that's it. 2 The terrain around the location near SSHQ has some tears in it -- probably due to a conflict with some other mod which messes with the terrain as well, but I don't know which exactly. Anyway, they're not big so all you need is 5 minutes of your time to patch those tears with objects from KDS Portable Camp Stuff - NVSE and KDS Portable Camp Stuff - NVSE - New Vegas Fixes, such as metal planks and wooden wall chunks. Certainly worth the effort. 3 The location near SSHQ partially overlaps with an FPGE's NCR tent but actually the tent is positioned in such a way that it seems natural so I didn't feel the need to remove it.
Please help! So I have TTW so I can play Fallout 3 on windows 10. I found your mod on the F3 Nexus and thought it was really cool. The guns look absolutely great and I would love to have a second dog companion. I installed the F3 version and found the location. When I did, the garage had been hovering over a world hole. I tried tinkering with my visual settings, but the world hole wouldn't go away. So I installed the New Vegas version and the garages in the video didn't appear. I don't know anyway to fix these world holes, I'm thinking maybe if I go down into Vault 87 it might fix the problem, But just in case, I wanted to ask for advice before hand
Sounds like an issue with having too many plugins installed. The max is between 130 and 140. Go over it and the game's Gamebryo engine starts commiting suicide by refusing to load some textures. This varies from having smaller 'void' splotches to 75% of your surroundings going awol.
One problem is that you can start with a high amount of plug-ins, but the longer you play (and the more places you discover) the lower the amount of working plugins becomes. I started off with 155 plugins and now, a couple of hundred hours into the game, I'm at 134 with 138 being my limit before things go missing.
Like the mod, works great. Was wondering if you'd do something I have been kicking around in the back of my noggin. It would be a separate mod but here's my idea if you'd care to give it a listen: I'm a huge Rick and Morty fan, I've searched the nexus and all the mods listed as "garage" mods are ok but nothing that really feels right for a Rick Sanchez RP. I'm wondering if it'd be possible to add this Red Rocket into Goodsprings in place of the garage where Ringo is hiding from the Powder Gangers, make it so that after he's been dealt with, you get to keep the garage as a reward. I love the idea of having a workshop for my Rick Sanchez character but I'm not a fan of the North of Sunset Sarsaprilla location of this mod. it feels wrong for my character to be there. Also, if you could add a Snow Globe (including the ones from all the NV DLCs) display shelf, that'd be great. I'd be highly interested in seeing a true master of modding tackle my idea :D Thanks in advance both for reading my idea and for this mod :D
Happily endorsed. I can't say much about the guns themselves, but I love the esthetic of the stations (solid work on them), and Duck has become a welcome addition to my wasteland family.
