For some odd reason this mod stopped properly working for me now...while i remember working it well in the past! For example i still can't wear any of the items in the eyeglasses slot together with any of the half-masks like rebreather, i still have to choose one or the other even with this mod ticked in my load order...what could be cause for this? Load order? i dunno how far down the list this mod should be in my load order, it's confusing...
YUP already fixes some of these, like for the valences for OWB it marks them as earrings so it dosnt conflict with anything as i dont think anything else in the game is marked as earrings. Still its nice to have this as a base to edit later
Hey, I edited this mod and made a version which ports forward the changes from any conflicting mods in Viva New Vegas. Would you want me to share it with you so you can upload it/be ok if I uploaded it to Discord?
I know this mod is old by now but it's the one that works best for me so far.
I don't recall what slots the Valence halos use offhand, I'd have to look it up... but wouldn't it make more sense for them to use the Headband slot, not Hair? Unless I remember wrong the Hair slot will mean your hairstyle doesn't appear, which will look kind of ugly.
Yeah, but that was the default slot for the item. I could set it to use headband slot, but that would mean you could not use any other head-wear with it. I suspect that more people use headgear than not, and excluding headgear would also make the item far less useful. I might offer an optional version where it counts as a headband, but judging by the comment below yours, not everyone wants the Valence to be incompatible with hats.
There are other slots that are basically unused and there are already mods that handle the valence stuff by using those. I don't remember which one I have but I'm almost certain I can put on myself glasses, a mask, my character's actual hair, a hat, and the valence yokes, all at the same time.
But Dragon, you can pretty easily fix your mod by having the valence halos use something like the earrings slot or the nose-ring one. Other mods may be adding their headgear to those as it's a known way to work around this limitation, but I'm pretty sure no vanilla items use those and they're probably a holdover from an older Elder Scrolls game. There's a mod called 'Valences Are Earrings' that's popular. I believe I've uninstalled it in favour of a different one, but knowing that one is popular, perhaps the earring slot would be the way to go here.
And I realise your mod is trying to add items to the 'correct' slots, but the valences float surrounding your head, so I'd say they'd be an exeption and there really wouldn't be a correct slot.
Yes. I mean, if you use a mod that add a hat that takes up the standard slots for hats in the vanilla game, you should be able to use it with glasses and masks now, but mods that add glasses and masks won't likely work with one another, or with hats, because they probalby use the vanilla biped slots assigned to those types of items.
this is really awesome feature, always want to wear shade glasses with cowboy hat & breathing mask, now I can now thank you. also seeing something like this, does it possible to make every type of slot available to player character? what i mean is that, make it more like Fallout 4 armor slot system? that would be awesome. I know even though it could be possible consider the first game using it was Morrowind, I kinda think GECK do have that unhidden slot armor feature.

I was just having this issue with the OWB Tri-Valence Orbiter, you read my mind!
